The hostel is well located and in a beautiful property, but lacks basic maintenance. The linen needs to be replaced and the rugs are due for a good cleaning (additional showers and restrooms wouldn't hurt either). Wouldn't recommend for more than a quick stopover.

A great budget Backpackers place. Not quite the Ritz, but at the price certainly a convenient and comfortable place for a night or two..

I had the greatest time here!! I seriously thought about cancelling all my other plans and just staying for a few weeks!

Staff were really friendly and always offered tips and advice. HUGE rooms so plenty of space for backpacks. Bed was a little uncomfortable, felt like the frame was due for an upgrade, the bars moved and creaked a lot.

Nice and friendly staff. Room was clean and spacious. Safe location with shops etc nearby. One thing that would improve this hostel majorly is free wifi!

I really appreciated Steven's flexibility and understanding in giving me and my parents a whole dorm at the regular rate. I found all the staff to be friendly and acommodating. Suggestions: no major complaints; but some rooms are dark; better lighting would be great. New mattresses, paint etc. would also make the place much nicer. As it is the rooms themselves are somewhat disappointing, given how nice the building and grounds are.
