„The Bananas“ offers a lot of attributes, which make it just unique. Starting with Olli, the best host of all times. The resort being so impressive in a plain way and the wonderful people working there, filling the air with a feeling of comfort. And of course, the stunning beauty of nature all around and in every direction. If you want to escape the speed of the city or your workaday life, this is the place to be. We already know that our first visit will definetely will not be our last.

Absolutley perfect place:-) We booked two nights and we are still here, because we found the perfect mixture between nature, quiet, tours like islands, kayaking, motorbikes etc. very familiar athmosphere, everybody sits together in the evening to chat. jummy food, excellent from the local chef tscha dam. the room we stay in is soooo gorgeous, view into the bay. its not in town, thats why we stay here!we would say its a must to see, because very special, done with a lot of love to the detail.

Awesome place to stay at if you are looking for a nice place to relax and do some day trips (and not party) . This place is around 40 minutes outside of Krabi, but definitely worth it. I can also highly recommend the tasty food at The Bananas. :) Night swimming is definitely a to-do!

This is my 30th time to visit Thailand (since 1996). And it was the best trip ever in Thailand , not only of Bananas but also because of my partner. We explored and enjoyed every single thing in this area surrounding Bananas area. Should combine Krabi and Koh Phiphi or Phuket if you love to visit islands.

Its a cute place, although it is 45 mins away from town. We booked for 7 nights but could only stay 2 for unforseen circumstances. The showers are cold, The place is good for a quiet relaxing holiday from the hectic citys.

The Bananas is a bit hard to get to, but it's well worth it. We originally booked 2 nights and ended up staying 7. Olli, the proprietor, is a very nice person and goes out of his way to make his guests feel at home. He arranges great day trips to islands , kayaking, etc. The staff prepares excellent, reasonably priced food and arefriendly. This is a perfect place to relax. It's small and has character, a nice pier to hang out on and all sorts of critters to watch as you enjoy your day.

Olli is an extremely friendly and comforting host. Bananas is a wonderfully unique way to experience Krabi, the bungalows were surrounded by unbelievably cute animals hand-raised by Olli himself. The location is great too -- we felt like we were away from the crowds of tourists but got to see a lot of the best of Krabi. The homestyle food that his kitchen staff provides is some of the best we had in Thailand. It's a a place to go to discover Krabi on your own and find your own adventures.

The Bananas is a beautiful, secluded guest house and perfect for anyone who is seeking a private, tourist free getaway. Olli virtually runs the place all by himself and is supported by his local staff who whipped up the best food we had in thailand. The Bananas is also an animal lovers' deligh - gineau pigs, peahens, birds, fish and the fattest, furriest and laziest cat I've seen in my life. Only disadvantage is that its quite expensive to get to town from here. Otherwise the perfect getaway.

This is my favorite accommodation that I have ever stayed at, in any country and even better than most hotels that I have been to. This hostel was like paradise. The beach was beautiful, the food was excellent, and I didn't want to leave! I would highly recommend The Bananas. I hope to come back very soon!

We booked for 3 nites and stayed for 6 :) A lovely relaxing, picturesque place to stay. Bit tricky to get to as we were told in town that the local bus doesn't go there (but it does- but still not sure where from !) but taxi was easy and 800baht. Lots to see and do- kayak trip, longtail boat trip, motor scooter into town, 'Secret beach' Restaurant food was fab!

We had a great time. The Bananas is located away from the hustle and bustle of the city and Oliver was incredibly laid back and helpful. It was about 20 to 30 minutes away from a lot of key spots (Tiger Cave and the Kayak trips are all highly recommended). The bungalow was equipped with a fan (was enough) and even though the water was a bit chilly, you get used to it real fast.

A little off the beaten track and some 45min/750baht drive from Krabi airport but that's the best part about this place. We didn't actually bother to get into Krabi itself, just relaxing and eating great food in Bananas, boat trip around the islands and kayaking - all easily arranged from the hostel. Olli, the owner , has been leaving in Thailand for 20 years so you feel like you can get to know better the country and its people through him, and he's the most cheerful German I have ever met!

Nice quiet spot. Good place to meet other travellers. Kind of far from town, but there are scooters for rent at a reasonable price. Food and drinks are a little expensive, but the food is very good. Place was always nice and clean. Wish there were lockers in the dorm room.

The rooms and atmosphere are great. But is far away from everything. 50 minutes from the airport (by taxi) , another 40 minutes from Krabi center... If you want to relax and have goog food, that's the right place. But if you want to visit different beaches and islands on the coast, it's not a good idea.

The location is pretty far from everything, but that was really the point of us booking it. Ollie was awesome and very helpful with everything. The area is beautiful and there's a variety of things to do, including tours and getting a massage. My most beautiful pictures taken on my trip were from here. Also, after leaving for Samui, we were so spoiled by having the restaurant available to us, with amazing food, that we didn't know what to do when we had to go seek out a place to eat.
