A friendly relaxed feel with good facilities for self-catering. A warm welcome form the owner.

Good hostel, set up more like a motel. Good kitchen facilities, the staff are super friendly and helpful. Rooms were quiet cosy. The bar is a good place to relax with a Guinness and talk to a few locals.

The only good thing we can say about that hostel is the location (at the entrance of national park, nice walking trails), Owner very friendly. BUT we were shocked about the state of the room: absolutely dirty and old, looked very used . There was a moldy smell and moths flying around. No warm water in the shower. doors and windows very poor, easy to break in (wouldnt leave any valuables in the room). 'breakfast' room was dirty too, toaster and kettle not working. food in bar is okay.

The free chowder and beer for climbing diamond hill was a great way to attract us to your hostel. We thought it was really a great idea how you do that. Very creative and the food was fantastic. We noticed a couple of the appliances in the self-serve kitchen were not the greatest (i.e. toaster and kettle). Altogether, we are glad we stayed with you all.

We didn't find the hot water for the shower... bed linen where dirty. But the place was really nice and the food at the bar was really great! We enjoy the time there. Unfortunately the weather was not that good.

We had a nice stay but only for a single night so couldnt get a full appreciation of the place... we were a bit frustrated with the wifi not really working in the common room, then found out it was perfect in the dorm just as we went to bed. Odd! Was very quiet being out of season but the pub attached looked nice too. Kitchen was good and light breakfast provided... hope you like marmalade though hehe. Lucky we byo'd something else. Thanks for having us! James & Zhao
