Some excellent food, terrible pillows take your own, wonderful setting on a 'lonely beach' stayed 9 nights and would return.

We booked this hostel because it seemed very nice and welcoming. There were a few nice things like the location - even though it is far away from the main street, it is fun to go there with motorbikes - and the atmosphere and food in the bar. The beds have been ok for the price, but not more. Anyways the staff, actually one staff member who was there all the time, was unwelcoming and we got the feeling that he doesn't care that much. Since this is an important fact, it made us leave earlier.

Location of the hostel is great, and accommodations are rustic but nice; however, customer service was the worst I've ever had. Waited an hour for our room upon arrival (which wasn't the one we booked), told the rates online were wrong and we had to pay more, and then were asked to pay for our last night again when we left (we had paid in full up front). This great has great potential, but the management needs attention... Guests should be warned that the showers are sea water (no fresh water)

Very nice, beautiful place just by the beach. Great potential, poor execution. Unfriendly staff - tried to hustle us with rooms from the start - poorer quality for the same price. Only after being forced to wait and really stand our ground for three-four hours did they suddenly have the room we booked available. Make sure you get what you order before paying – rooms, towels etc. Threatening beach boys. Rooms very hot at night because no fans. NO internet. Nice place apart from staff +beach boys.

Really nice place. It would be perfect if the place could make arrangements with a tuctuc to the main road, cause it is a bit of a distance to walk with luggage and I would never ride a motorbike. The price for a taxi was 500 KES to mainstreet, wich is expensive for a backpacker if you want to stay there for some time. The staff had some trouble understanding that we paid 10% of our stay on the internet and wanted us to pay it again, but agreed after long time. That said - would love to go back!
