Your 2nd home away. Highly recommend. Definately will come back anytime visiting Mobay/Ironshore.

This place has a really friendly hostel vibe to it, making it a great place to chill out and meet other travelers. However, some of the facilities are a bit lacking - my bunk bed squealed like a pig every time one of us moved for example. But the garden / pool area is really nice, somewhat making up for it. Because of the location, you need to take taxis to get anywhere (particularly at night), but they are relatively inexpensive.

Beautiful quiet relaxing

Laid back and private!!! Met some really cool people, just sitting poolside ;-) Very eclectic....Big up to Norway, Germany and Austria!!!! Feels like home...

We stayed at Birdsnest for 2 nights. It was okey, the staff were very friendly and cool, and Julia the owner was super kind to drive us to the airport for free. We stayed in the 6 bed mixed dorm and it was good. The beds were a little squeaky but it was alright. Bathroom good and clean. The pool was nice and clean as well. The kitchen could use a renovation but it worked. It's a 10-15 minute walk to Ironshore centrum where u can find a great supermarket, restaurants and other cool stuff.

We started our first backpacking trip at this hostel and we loved it! The atmosphere is cool and Julia is really friendly. It's located in a safe neighbourhood, and it takes 10-15 minutes to walk to the nearest grocery store, where there are some cafes, shops and an ATM in the same area. Montego Bay is 10 minutes away by car, and it's easy to find a route taxi, which is a cheap and safe alternative. Would definetely recommend this hostel for other adventurous backpackers!

A great find and cool set-up in walking distance to local shopping in the neighborhood. I had a good time interacting with the diverse guests and being entertained by Dexter the cat. Pool is great, pool-side bed is awesome, and the grounds well-kept and inviting making it a treat to be outside, night or day. I didn't get a chance to try kite-surfing with our host Julia since I was only there for one night, but other guests enjoyed it so I'll definitely try it next time around.

Loved staying at this hostel! Julia, the owner, is super accommodating and makes you feel welcome the moment you arrive. The pool is a nice place to relax and the hostel is a great way to meet other travelers and make friends. This hostel is not on the beach, but the beach is just a quick cab ride away for just 150 Jamaican dollars. There is also a nice plaza nearby with a supermarket and various restaurants. I definitely recommend staying here.

The pool and garden of the hostel are really nice, it's only located really far outside of the city center, It's a small place but if you stay there with the right people it's a lot of fun.
