The Front Desk staff in the Black Cat could not have been more helpful or friendly. They were truly exceptional, especially Rosario! I love it here - it feels like a home from home. There is a very warm friendly, helpful atmosphere at all times. The location is perfect - just 3 minutes walk from the Parque Central. The staff invariably call me by my name all the time, which is really nice. I could not fault this place in any way. Rooms are basic, but clean and adequate.

The BCI was a great place to stay, but the staff made it an excellent place to stay! Everyone, from the front desk staff, to the cooks and cleaners, to the night watchmen, were helpful, friendly and always smiling. The food surpassed all expectations. I would recommend this spot to anyone!

Everything was good. Good breackfast , service and location. The rooms are big enough , hot water and towels. I will stay there again. It is not far from the central park

Staff is awesome. The roof top alone is worth staying here. It's not a party place, so if you're looking for a chill, nice place this is it. The breakfast was good, too.

We were given a worst room I guess. There were 2 beds, a chair and small bedside table. Nothing to put your staff on, no hooks, nothing. Television had really bad picture. Shower knob was broken, they got night guard to fix it after nine a clock so had to wait for a while. Room smelled mouldy. Place was relatively quiet at night, and some of the breakfast items were excellant, some not. Wasn't very good value for money, would not recommend to stay here.

The Black Cat Inn is a much nicer stay than its hostel counterpart. Particularly in terms of cleaness and mattresses. What´s great about the inn is that the staff are lovely the breakfasts are larger servings and AMAZING! Plus you can just walk over to the Hostel for a party and walk back to the inn for some piece and quite! Thanks so much for all your help and useful info guys!

booked for one night, but stayed for three. i was very happy, but also had a 6 bed dorm for myself till the last night. the metal spring bunks would be terrible to sleep in, but i got a wooden one that was pretty OK. Breakfast is included and pretty awesome for what i paid for the room. WiFI had a few weak moments, but i think that is typical for Guatemala, overall it was very good. There IS hot water in the shower, just can be tricky to find... ask reception for help if necessary.
