The hostel was great! Perfect location, right off of Courtenay Place. The hostel pub was lots of fun, cheap food and we met quite a bit of locals there! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathrooms were spotless and some of the nicest bathrooms I've seen in a hostel. They also held our bags while we were out in the city, which was great. Definitely recommend this hostel!

We had a room opening on the inner court, which was very noisy at night and where people smoked. The room and our stuff stank with cigarette smell and the hostel staff ignored our complaints. The kitchen hasn't enough supplies or dishes so you have to rent some. Finally, the bathroom is a little bit strange since the sink are really tiny without mirrors above but on the other side...

Overall good stay with a BBH card. Nice bathrooms and hallways and great deal at bar nearby for backpacker burgers and chips for 5$. Small kitchen and hang out area, but overall nice.

A nice place to stay in wellington. Very Good location supermarket, bus station, restaurants and bars within 2-8 min walk. mostly clean. Atmosphere is a little bit more like a hotel than a hostel.

We had breakfast and I spit a half bottle of tomatosauce over my hair and sweatshirt because the bottle was under to much presure. It's not the stuffs fault, but instead of laughing a sorry and bit of help would have been nice. As we checked out at 10, the usal time, nobody was at the reception and there was already a number of people waiting, but no, we had to wait till the lady came back with her cup of coffee. abd then she was really unfriendly when i asked for change for the parking lot....

Why was someone vacuuming the hallways and the reception area in the middle of the night? That sound travels and could be heard clearly in the dorms

I loved the kitchen area. The hostel was very nice. I stayed on the hotel part, and the windows were SO loud because of the wind. It is a cute place with a warm feel, though.

Great hostel. You get like 30 minutes or an hour of free WiFi, and after that you have to pay. Really cool historic building that has been nicely renovated. It's the same building as the hotel by the same name. Domino's is basically next door (great deals on Tuesdays), or if you're looking for a more authentic NZ experience, there are plenty of awesome cafes and restaurants within a short walking distance. Wellington is sweet as. You'll love it.

We would have liked a room with twin beds and a shared bathroom, but the queen bed was comfortable.
