The bunk bed broke on the first night. They weren't surprised, which makes me think this isn't a one-off occurrence. There was no running water for 2+ days, I'm not usually fussy with these things but they didn't offer an alternate option for showering etc. They say no curfew but the people that work the nights end up sleeping in the common room so you have to YELL to get them to open the door. Other than this, it's super cheap, has aircon, Sophie the cleaning lady always has a killer smile!

The hostel was pretty average-two baths (one of which you have to walk through a dorm to get to), a lounge area, free wifi. The staff member who greeted me was very friendly-he spoke little English, but that seems to be standard in Colombia. Overall ok for the price.

Very dirty bathrooms, not much security, music played loudly at inns proprietor times. Not great for meeting peoe but staff nice and location excellent.

I would highly recommend this hostel! It´s in a fantastic location in Centro (not Getsemani), the staff are fantastic. They provide free chilled lemonade which is a blessing in a hot city. The rooms are comfortable with either very good, strong fans that keep you cool or the option of air con which is fantastic.

Extremely loud music until 1:00 am and after 8:00 am. Only 2 bathrooms for everybody, being one within a dorm - if you stay in this dorm, you will have a bad time, since all guests will enter this dorm all the time. Dirty bathrooms.

Had such a good time here, the staff are all AMAZING and the location is wicked, you look out straight to the beautiful old city, its a bit further away from the other backpacker hostels but only 5, 10 minute walk! close to all the action and the beach. Safe and really friendly, definitely recommend this hostel

Amazing staff, the friendliest and most genuine yet. The hostel is in a great location, nice and clean. It does what is says on the tin. Bloody splendid!

Great location. A bit cramped in the rooms and only two toilets, one of which is accessed through another dorm.

The Chill is fine for a night...But quite small and easily crowded! With the main hang out area just outside the Dorm rooms it can be quite noisy and difficult to navigate to & from your room! Everything is a bit Old & run down, the place could use an Upgrade...the Bathrooms are very bad, possibly worst I have experienced at a Hostel! The Staff were very nice & this can make up for a lot of the other issues!! The pictures make it look much nicer than it actually is!!

Great place with a very good location and nice staff! Very recommended but don't be ticky on the bathrooms. The beds are good and you can sleep at night.

Appreciated that you made it quiet in the hostel after 12am, for those of us going to la playa blanca the next day.

unfortunately there was no privacy at all, I stayed only one night, but that night, there was loud music until midnight, because the hostel is tiny and situated on only one floor, the music was loud in all rooms as well, ademâs there were only two bathrooms for all people with the only two toilets inside, the kitchen was quiet dirty that one night, the staff was very helpful and friendly, as well I felt save there

Generally good. The young girl who worked there some days was a little self important and condescending but the rest of the staff were great and the location was excellent. In general, the hostel offered a high standard for the price although it would be nice if it sold some basic things like water and soap.I would give the hostel an 8 out of 10. (I'd give it a 9 if it weren't for the girl on daytime staff).

I spent only one day in the hostel, but I must say they have a great atmosphere, thoughtful staff always willing to help, the location is very good close to supermarket, some restaurants and is 5 minutes to the bus stop to go to the Bocagrande beach. It could have breakfast but apparently is not something common in Colombia and should have a microwave in the kitchen. They organize night outs for guests too. For sure Ill stay there again if I come back to Cartagena!

had a ton of fun there! very friendly and welcoming atmosphere and awesome staff!

The location is great, the owner is always very relaxed and friendly and you feel like he's been a friend for years; always making sure you feel comfortable and having a good time. We stayed in a private suite and everything was good except the big mattress was a bit old and there were not enough power outlets in the room, Everything else great hostel and definitely worth it. loved the free lemonade.
