I had a great stay at the hostel. I arrived very late.. having called ahead I knew to look for my key and directions taped to the office door.. and they were there. My apartment was clean and comfortable... a little sparce in kitchen pans, plates, etc. I had the apt to myself for 3 nights and then enjoyed the company of a considerate interesting woman from England for a night and another from Mexico for the last 2 nights. The staff were friendly and helpful... and I loved using the bike.

When I arrived at hostel, no staff was there to check me in. I and other patrons had to call around, but no listed numbers worked. Finally another person staying there just gave me some sheets and a random room ( whoever opened the door with extra bed). It took over an hour to get into a room since no staff was there. Then in morning and afternoon of next day, no staff was available still. Noone ever showed up after a day so I assumed I got a free stay, but someone charged my card still.

I stayed at the hostel one night. The people I met at the hostel were open and friendly. I slept in a pretty small room with three bunk beds (6 people) and the ventilation was not very good, so it was quite hot in there. Regarding cleanliness it could have been better, however I've seen worse at other hostels. When I left in the morning we had run out of toilet paper and when I came home in the night there was still no paper. And the bin was full over the top. Overall it was okay for the price.

Is de name say all." Hostel". Is good but you are share the room with other people. The one negative point is the men that was in my room, was living there and was feel the owner of the place.

I had a good stay, but encountered some issues. They did not have my reservation upon arrival. Luckily, they still found a bed for me. Hostel is priced well and close to the beach. 4 of the 6 lockers in my room were not working so I was unable to lock up my "valuables". It was a safe environment. I would consider staying again.

Poeple was nice. A lot of workers stays at this hostel, so not much poeple around durring the day. The fact that it is all appartments is realy cool, not to much guest in rooms.

When I arrived, it was after office hours as my flight was delayed, there was no key for me so I had to stay somewhere else. There was no one I could call and no note whatsoever. I did email about my issues but have yet to hear back.

It was really easy to find! At south beach miami we just took the bus towards aventura mall, the bus number 1 to ft. lauderdale. We jumped of at the 17th street SE fort lauderdale and here it was on the 16th, just around the corner. It is close to McD, Burger King, CVS and the best of all its near busses everywhere, including airport and the beach. Nice clean apartments, with big bathrooms and huge livingrooms, and the best of all a kitchen in every apartment with everything you need! Nice atmosphere

Worst thing about this hostel was: They charged us twice for one night! They charged the amount on my credit card in December 2011 when we booked the stay and then again in February 2012 on our arrival! As I tried to contact them because of this failure, they didn't respond- until now I haven't heard of them. That's really a shame. That's not the only reason I don't recommend the hostel: it's also not very clean and we had to wait 1 hour on our arrival though reception wa supposed to be open.

very nice and helpfull staff, thank you Mia, I got sick and I had to stay in the hospital - there was no problem to leave my luggage in my room a day longer without extra pay.

As every comment. Dirty and bad smells and full of peoples who stay for long time... But if you just spend a night in transit, that you want to drink few beers as the same time than smokimg a magic cigarette go there. You got nothing to loose and chelsy the girl from the reception is lovely. Mickael from france

I LOVE the Chocolate Hostel!! It was comfortable there, the rooms are clean & spacious & feel homey. I met a bunch of cool ass people from all over the world and we hit up the beach - which was not a bad walk - and had too much fun hanging out at the hostel all night. The staff is just as fun and interesting as the guests staying there and couldn't be nicer. *CARL especially keeps everything rollin' at the hostel, Mia, Sebastian and Chelsea are helpful & entertaining. I can't wait to go back!!
