A nice hostel. Our private room was slightly dusty, otherwise a great place to stay.

HELL ON EARTH....DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOSTEL! It's disgusting and as soon as I walked in its like being in what i imagine a crack den would be like, I would have felt safer and cleaner sleeping on the street. Seriously depressing way to start our stay in Melbourne and its a same because the surrounding area seemed very upmarket. This hostel however was a million years away from that!

The College Lawn Hotel is a mess. The room was barely cleaned, the was a stench of sigarettes and alcohol in our room, under the bed we didn't even there to look, the door and window were almost impossible to open, there was no bin, the closet was dirty and then I'm only talking about the room. I will spare you the kitchen bathroom and else. It's cheap but please go somewhere else for a better stay for your trip.
