Place very impresonnel. Few guests and unknowledgable staff. We got insect bites during the whole night.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hostel ( it is a hostel, not a hotel ) The French - "Irish" lady who runs it is powerpack of energy and a wonderful personality. She made us really welcome we will certainly stay there again, the rooms were plain and simple, as you would expect from a hostel but they were clean and warm, plenty of hot water, tea and coffee in the kitchen and even homemade cakes and scones. If your going to Connemara its a good place to stay

Place was great fun. Rooms were fine. We were more fortunate than our friends who had smaller rooms. Staff was great. Couldn't fault them at all. Great view too. Worth a stay

We found the staff very unhelpful, the Shower and toilet facilities were flooded and very dirty. The showers were cold. A most unpleasant stay.

Farida and her staff were very friendly and generous, providing lots of free food at breakfast although no breakfast was included in the price. The location is beautiful!

We had a nice three days there. Very remote which was what we were looking for. Staff friendly and the woman in charge (Frida, if I remember right) is the perfect person for the job - loads of enthusiasm! Only strange thing about it was that the vast majority of clients are French - which is fine just a bit odd since it's in Connemara, Ireland!

I had a great 4 night stay at the hostel. The fjord is visible from the windows and it is the perfect base for hiking and adventure activities in the Connemara. A good kitchen, nice rooms and space to spread out. As long as you avoid the noisy school groups everything is pretty tops. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Thanks for having me!

This hostel is in a great location if you're looking to be in the middle of nowhere, do some hiking, etc. Beautiful area. The staff are great, very helpful. However, the rooms could have been a little cleaner (the beds/sheets were clean but the floors were dirty), and there was only one key to the room which everybody had to share, and no lockers. The kitchen is expansive if you're looking to cook, but bring your own food - the nearest grocery store is 6 miles away!

Frida was very very nice and lovely! We don't want to complain but just to mention that there was no air in the bedroom, it was damp and smelly. That was the only negative thing we remember.
