The Connemara Hostel Reviews

What a great stay! This hostel is situated right in the Connemara next to a lake with a gorgeous view of the water and some mountains. It is a bit out of the way, so you should bring food with you for cooking purposes, but our time here was fantastic. The staff is super friendly and there are a ton of games and movies and it's very bright and clean. Two thumbs up!

We had a wonderful weekend spent in the Connemara Hostel. The view over Killary/Leenane harbour from the hostel is absolutely stunning - what a way to start the day!! The surrounding countryside is incredibly beautiful - I had last visited the area 30 years ago and was delighted to become reacquainted with the place again after so long. The manager Farida was very welcoming and friendly, making us feel at home straightaway. We hope to go back as soon as we can!

Excellent, friendly staff, good location, good facilities, and a good price. You'll need a car to access this hostel.

Will be my favorite hostel in Ireland if the fireplaces would have been ready to use! Warm welcome, nice staff, great location !

Self catering facilities did not really correspond to the number of guests but otherwise very recommendable!!!!

Great hostel if you want to be in the middle of connemara's nature!

Easily one of my favourite hostels I've stayed at. Farida, the manager, has created such a comfortable atmosphere and makes you feel right at home. The hostel has a beautiful view of the Killary Fjord. There are plenty of great hikes surrounding the area. Spent alot of time hanging out with the friendly staff and visiting the nearby pub up the road. If you like the outdoors, walking, and a relaxing environment to come back to then this is the place for you.
