This hostel was a disappointment, the management doesn't seem to care about it. There were three bathrooms, one shower and one toilet couldn't be used. The kitchen had signs that said that you should put your dishes away after using but there was no towel. In addition, there was just a small fridge and every food item had to be labelled. This would have been ok if there would have been labels. The keys didn't work properly as everything was so old. You are in the city quickly.

It is a small hostel, one of the cheapest in Melbourne, so you have what you paid for. Good place to meet people

an internet access computer would be very helpful! I enjoyed the friendly, family vibe of the place, and the free breakfast was a nice touch. I will be back if I ever need to be in the neighbourhood again, thank you! :)

I've stayed in hostels across Europe, Asia and Africa an this is one of the worst ive seen. We only stayed here as a last resort due to all others across the city with better hostelworld ratings being booked out. Dirty bathrooms, broken showers and beds, rubbish lying around, poor facilities and despite being above a pub, the pub is closed weekends. Only stay here if desperate, otherwise look elsewhere.

Dirty unorganised hostel. The staff was friendly but the people that stayed there were very dirty. They were there for already some weeks but I don't know if they ever moved from their room. We where very happy to leave after only one night. (The Irish pub is closed on saturday's and sundays.. That says enough about the pub)

The 8-share we were in had terrible matresses, it was filthy everywhere, there were no working blinds to the massive windows, if it rained it leaked down through one corner of the room. Another guy in our room had seen mice in the kitchen (!!!). The kitchen was badly equipped and it had holes in the walls and floor. The bathrooms were okay but the water had a tendency to go overwhere when showering. The pub is closed over the weekend! Close to Victoria Market and an okay distance to Fitzroy.
