Directions to The Cosy Garden

Generally, we can arrange a taxi to pick you up from Guilin airport, Guilin City, the train- or bus station or any hotel, any time, day or night. This way it is easier to find our hostel and you don't have to worry about being cheated. From Guilin airport the lowest fee is 280Y(1h30min), day or night. For a safer and faster option, add 30Y for the tolls on the expressway (1h10min, 310Y). From Guilin center, bus- or train station the standard fee is 200Y.

By public transport ;

From Guilin airport ; after every flight arrival there are buses which can take you to Guilin's center for ¥20. Be aware that like most bus services in China, the bus won't leave the airport until full so you may be faced with a wait. You can also get off at the last stop in Guilin and then take a bus or taxi to the Guilin bus station where you can take the bus to the Yangshuo bus station.

From Guilin bus station there are regular express buses to Yangshuo (1h30min;18- 20Y). From Guilin train station there are buses to Yangshuo too but they stop along the way (1h30min; 18Y). Both will take you to the Yangshuo bus station. If you come to Yangshuo on a Li-river boat cruise from Guilin, a very scenic journey including the scenery that can be seen on all ¥20 bills, the boats stop at the docks near our hostel from which you can follow the signs on foot or we will pick you up when you call us upon arrival. In winter time, which is the dry season, the boats often only travel starting halfway down the Li River from Guilin. You will then travel part of the way by bus or private taxi, then join the boat where the water is deep enough.

Directions from Yangshuo center > from anywhere in the center, go to the Li-river, turn left and follow the road aside the river (keep the river at your right hand side), always keep going straight ahead. When the road bends away from the river do not turn right but instead follow straight ahead and soon - after 300m - you will enter the village head up the left side of the valley and you will find the Cosy Garden about 150m up on the right hand side of the road.
