That was the worst hostel we ever saw. Even the good location cannot make it better.

They have a sign at the hostel saying international guests only but no website or other note on hostels.com to warn they don\'t want New Zealand travelers

We are a young family with an infat who had 7 months at that time and thanks to the Cozy Kiwi stuff we had a great time in Auckland. They were really helpful and friendly.

I liked the lounge, kitchen, and bathroom facilities of The Cozy Kiwi. However the beds were very uncomfortable. The mattres was thin and the bed underneath was horizontal metal bars that pressed into your body painfully. In the morning of the first night my fiance woke up with a very sore back. In addition the blurred windows that connect to the adjacent room are not a good idea beucase the person next to us stared into our room for about an hour while we were trying to get to sleep. Creepy.

Sorry, but that was our worst stay on our NZ trip. Only the location in Auckland is very central. The whole Building needs maintance. Especially th facilities are used and dirty.

Went to stay for 2 nights and stayed for 3 weeks. Very good and helpful staff and owners on site, plenty of long termers staying there who will always be up for a good night in or out. Only down side was the balcony closing at 10, but if you're not a smoker then no problem. Good TV with all movies and sports channels available. Would stay there again if visiting Auckland as very good value for money.
