Stayed here on a layover, so didn't stay long - but still was impressed. The security guard went out of his way to walk me to an ATM at night to keep me safe, and the check-in staff were friendly. The showers and bathrooms were clean, the dorms were well-setup with individual lockers and charging stations. The beds were some of the most comfortable I have slept in in many weeks of traveling. Felt like a fresh clean hotel bed! Plenty of hot water in the shower too. Recommended!
This is a nice hostel. Really nice facilities, nice beds, bathrooms, common area, and kitchen. Staff is friendly. I recommend.
loved this place. so so easy to meet people, in a good location and great staff. also super secure!
Great atmosphere, comfortable beds, nice blankets, great social area. First solo trip and made friends within 10 minutes of getting to the hostel. If ever in bogota I know where to stay. For those that don't speak Spanish. All the staff speaks perfect English, super friendly, Laura was awesome. Very accommodatin. Even the security guard was friendly.
The Hostel is fantastically located in the La Candaleria region and the showers and toilets are very modern and in a good state. The rooms have lockers with built in plug sockets which is a nice addition. However, our stay was tainted with some huge problems. On both days there was no water in the mornings and construction work in the hostel meant that there were incredibly annoying banging noises starting at 9 am. The beds were rock hard and very uncomfortable and the wifi was very slow.
laura was great, and so was carlos the security guard. rooms were decent and kitchen, common area, tv rooms were standard. its a good balance between party hostel and place to rest! location is the best part, and the breakfast menu (not included, is extra) is great although a bit pricey. stay here on a friday, they have a great bbq dinner!
Enjoyed my short stay at the Cranky Croc. Well located, great staff (Laura especially helpful), comfortable beds and for the size of the hostel always very clean. Breakfast (although need to pay) was welcome in the morning!
The six room dorm was comfortable and I liked the feature where you could recharge your stuff within the locked locker. The showers and rooms were very clean as well. I like 7 am breakfasts so I headed to the street for that on the two days I stayed there.
Great hostel, walking distance to a lot of Bogata´s main attractions. Amazing showers!

This hostel is a good area for bars etc and have a guard at night that sits on the door to make sure people don't get harassed by beggars etc. The hostel has good wifi, social area, atmosphere and TV room. Breakfasts are not included, but offer cooked breakfasts which are delicious. The hostel also offers tours etc which are good. And finally they let you bring in your own alcohol. Only two downsides, the beds are slightly uncomfortable and the guy on reception is very unpleasant to deal with.
Great hostel to stay in, really clean comfortable helpful and friendly. Disappointed I couldn't stay longer :)
Very close to many of the must see places in bogota. the staff was very helpful and friendly, they are really open to help the guests. The hostel is really clean, they clean it several times everyday. The beds are made everyday with clean sheets and duvet.
Very nice hostel in La Candelaria. Very-very clean, the ladies clean all day long. The building is renowated beautifully. The rooms are well equiped and there is a kitchen what u can use. Lots of bathrooms. Every sight is really close by including food and go out options.
Great hostel. Good communal area and really well located. Would highly recommend

Great hostel, can be social if you want but the rooms are far enough away from the common area so you can have an early quiet night if you want. The party bus/ club on Tuesday is a good night out and your allowed to bring your own booze into the hostel. Easy walk to all areas in La Candelaria. Only small issue is that the dorm itself was a bit dark and needed to be aired out.
The hostel was great! The comon area is great everyone mingles, the bathrooms!!! Amazing! All new!! The beds were comfortable and the staff did everything to help us!
The place is really professional run and around for a few years now, that is a good sign. Place is clean and they do checklists for cleaning the bathrooms. You have to pay for breakfast. I enjoyed staying there. Staff could be more motivated at times.
Really enjoyed my stay here. The atmosphere is amazing - I met so many great people. Security is great, the rooms have huge lockers with two power outlets so you can safely charge your phone/laptop with no worries. The hostel also has its own security guard, who's very friendly. Toilets and showers are great, very clean and modern. Breakfast is extra but pretty good. The hostel sells beer but are perfectly OK with guests bringing in their own alcohol, which is nice.
A very sociable hostel, great to meet new ppl. They organize activites at certain days (Saturday is Andres Carne del Res, a must if you are in Bogota). Had an amazing time here and would stay here again. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Staff was friendly. The hostel is at a good location to climb Monserrate or visit downtown.
