good area for backpackers, walking distance if not short cabs to many places, security guard on the door every night and very friendly staff. over booked our dorm so we received a free upgrade to a private room 10/10
One of the best hostel we stayed at. Great location, lots of info on what to do, helpful staff, met some great people, the facilities are brand new, good restaurants closeby,... So good we ended our Colombia trip here too, so we stayed in total for 6 nights or so!
Great staff, good showers, a great place to meet people
It's a great place to stay, very centric, nice, clean, and with many activities to do in the hostel or with their partners. When I stayed they were adding a new area or remodeling an old one so there was too much noise since 8 in the morning. The staff is great, thanks to William I decided to stay longer in the hostel and Bogota :)
Loved this hostel. Great location and they have many tours avaiable (walking/biking/party bus/etc). Super helpful staff. Great lounge area with a fire pit, nice breakfast selection, and good company. Central to the historic district Candelaria, churches, bars, and more. Comfortable bed with warm comforter for cold nights. Nice, hot showers- best facilities of my whole trip. Would highly recommend this hostel to future Bogota travelers!
Stayed here on a layover, so didn't stay long - but still was impressed. The security guard went out of his way to walk me to an ATM at night to keep me safe, and the check-in staff were friendly. The showers and bathrooms were clean, the dorms were well-setup with individual lockers and charging stations. The beds were some of the most comfortable I have slept in in many weeks of traveling. Felt like a fresh clean hotel bed! Plenty of hot water in the shower too. Recommended!
This is a nice hostel. Really nice facilities, nice beds, bathrooms, common area, and kitchen. Staff is friendly. I recommend.
loved this place. so so easy to meet people, in a good location and great staff. also super secure!
Great atmosphere, comfortable beds, nice blankets, great social area. First solo trip and made friends within 10 minutes of getting to the hostel. If ever in bogota I know where to stay. For those that don't speak Spanish. All the staff speaks perfect English, super friendly, Laura was awesome. Very accommodatin. Even the security guard was friendly.
The Hostel is fantastically located in the La Candaleria region and the showers and toilets are very modern and in a good state. The rooms have lockers with built in plug sockets which is a nice addition. However, our stay was tainted with some huge problems. On both days there was no water in the mornings and construction work in the hostel meant that there were incredibly annoying banging noises starting at 9 am. The beds were rock hard and very uncomfortable and the wifi was very slow.
Can't really speak highly enough of this place! Brilliant hostel in La Candelaria in Bogota. Friendly staff, great communal atmosphere, weekly party bus (not to be missed on a Saturday night) and a brilliant on site restaurant serving great coffee and very good, cheap breakfasts. Rooms are neat and tidy, and everywhere was clean all the time. Highly recommended.
laura was great, and so was carlos the security guard. rooms were decent and kitchen, common area, tv rooms were standard. its a good balance between party hostel and place to rest! location is the best part, and the breakfast menu (not included, is extra) is great although a bit pricey. stay here on a friday, they have a great bbq dinner!
Enjoyed my short stay at the Cranky Croc. Well located, great staff (Laura especially helpful), comfortable beds and for the size of the hostel always very clean. Breakfast (although need to pay) was welcome in the morning!
Everything was amazing, if I was being picky then maybe a larger kitchen
The six room dorm was comfortable and I liked the feature where you could recharge your stuff within the locked locker. The showers and rooms were very clean as well. I like 7 am breakfasts so I headed to the street for that on the two days I stayed there.
Great hostel, walking distance to a lot of Bogata´s main attractions. Amazing showers!

This hostel is a good area for bars etc and have a guard at night that sits on the door to make sure people don't get harassed by beggars etc. The hostel has good wifi, social area, atmosphere and TV room. Breakfasts are not included, but offer cooked breakfasts which are delicious. The hostel also offers tours etc which are good. And finally they let you bring in your own alcohol. Only two downsides, the beds are slightly uncomfortable and the guy on reception is very unpleasant to deal with.
