Stayed here twice. The front staff still knew me after 2 months which was very comforting. Good hostel with cheap meals if your lazy like me. Highly recommended.

I had a really good time at the Cranky Croc. Lots of activities to help you meet other travellers, such as weekend trips to the famous Carne de Res. Nice TV room with a huge selection of movies/tv shows on the hard drive for the day after. There's also a good restaurant on site for breakfast etc. Good location near tourist sites and Museo del Oro transmilenia station. Great hostel!

ALEX AND THE OTHER GUY ARE VERY NICE AND THE REST OF THE STAFF ARE VERY NICE . THE HOSTEL IS WELL EQUIPPED WITH LOTS OF MOVIES AND GOOD KITCHEN .

Spent a night here while finishing up my travels in Colombia last week. Great, rambling layout, comfortable dorm beds, coffee on at all hours, good location next to a few bars but far from the Zona Rosa. However, they organize trips there several times per week, including Saturday night's party bus to Andres Carne de Res, which I unfortunately was not around for! Next time, hopefully. Alex, who was in charge at the time, was extremely helpful. Good solid breakfasts, too. Highly recommend.

Very comfy beds, okay place to meet other travelers. good location. But it was very cold at the time is was there, and no heating...used the fireplace one night. The guy in the reception is very nice and helpful, one of the girls are not friendly, don't speak any english, and is grumpy. They have a big kitchen, but not so much equipment. would stay there again

Amazing hostel... best I've stayed in so far.!!! I feel spoilt there in comparison to others. The staff there in particular Alex and Marcela were phenomenal to me. I sprained my ankle on my first afternoon in Bogotá and they got me ice, pillows and even a doctor if i wanted him. The cleaning service costas about 4000pesos and they do a great job. Everyday someone makes your bed, and you have a sizable locker for your belongings complete with a charging area inside. Bring a lock for your locker.

BEST HOSTEL EVER! We extended our stay because we felt so at home. Yes, its a party hostel, but there is also enough space to lay low if you'd like to. The staff are AMAZING and super friendly if you are nice to them. There is something familial about staying at Cranky Croc and I would highly recommend it to anyone travelling through Bogota!

The Cranky chef! just arrived Bogota and hoste...l was asking about breakfast..... chef trown the menu pick up and order! what ever you want eat! OMG thanks welcome to the cranky hostel!

To keep it short: - Amazing hostel, best staff, top notch - Some hostels restrict travelers to 37 and youngers... here you learn why. Not judging, just stating. - very good beds, lockers with outlets... this is how you do it on the downside: - smoking area tiny, we called it "the party cage" - no real common area, only comfi room has tv constantly running, so no chilling possible...

Very good location, albeit in a sketchy neighbourhood. Very close to all of the major attractions. One of the staff there, Alex, was fantastic, very helpful and accommodating. Dorms are large with personal well lit lockers with power plugs in them, you just have to bring your own lock. Very social atmosphere and easy to meet others especially if you're travelling alone.

Great Hostel with a very friendly and from what I can tell, beautiful Colombiana staff. The owner is super cool and was a backpacker himself at one time which is why I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone in La Candeleria. The location is superb.

Highly recommended. Had a great time. Staff very helpful and supportive.
