Large hostel with a good atmosphere. Lots to keep you entertained (pool, basketball, ping pong, tv lounge) as well as a bar and loads of information for activities to do in Medellin. It's about 15 mins walk from Parque Lleras, but means you can get some sleep if you don't want to party all night, but are close to the action if you do. Highly recommended!

I stayed one night, staff helpful, atmosphere pretty good.. The only thing that let it down for me was the building work currently taking place as I was tried from flights and need to sleep during the day..

The new bathrooms are fabulous - best in any hostel I've stayed in!

Fantastic Hostel!!!! Andy and all of his staff and incredibly helpful and friendly, its social, clean, good beds/showers, and no stupid rules like most hostels have in Colombia, by far the best in the country! Rob

An awesome place with awesome staff - just so helpful. Don't hesitate - stay at the Cranky Croc.

Good hostel ideally located in Candelaria, with really good cheap restaurants nearby (especially The Crazy Mongolian right across the road). The staff are very friendly and helpful and its a good place to meet people. Food is ok but fairly basic to be honest. The main criticism is that the place gets seriously COLD at nighttime and the dorms arent that well heated! Bogota is generally cold at night so a lot of places get affected, but the cold did take away from my stay a bit.

very good, well run hostel. staff were very helpful and nice and the owner was a nice guy, always making effort to talk with all guest and making sure theryre ok. hostel was ridiculously clean, even with some small building works going on. def recommend

Very good hostel. Excellent, clean bathrooms and warm showers. The beds are comfy. I didn't mind the slightly cold room at night but if you're super sensitive, break out your summer sleeping back or ask for an extra blanket. I liked the mix of people and warm, cosy atmosphere of the place. You'll be left in peace if that is what you want but any question you may have will be answered.

Best hostel I've stayed in so far in Colombia and I have stayed in the dreamer hostel and el viajero, both good. Work is currently being done but doesn't interfere with anything, will be even better when it's finished. Loved it

The hostel was great value for money with regards to all beds having reading lights and plug sockets in the lockers. I loved the toliets and bathrooms - brand new and super clean. Beds made daily was a real treat.

Had a great time staying here the Saturday night party bus was well worth doing! Area was good and was a great hostel to meet other travellers! Highly recommend
