Manager named Shaddow, reluctant to return my $40 deposit. Asked 5 times for deposit, had to wait by his car, as to confront him before he left the hostel . He did give back the deposit, but only after I insisted. Also, only cold shower no hot water.

The hostel is just average in terms of being clean. Roaches scatter when you open the pot drawer, but hey, you are in the Caribbean. There is no stove and only a two pot burner for cooking, which is annoying. The manager of the place is frequently drunk, and often forgets if people have paid him or not. However, when I checked out, the manager was honest enough to refund me $40 that I was overcharged. This is unfortunately the nicest place I found to stay on a budget in St. Maarten.

Quite bad shape of the hostel and some touble with "the office" but it was really nice otherwise and people were kind. High price in general on the island..
