excellent min cinema inside inside the cupboard single room is right next to common room with TV, quite noisy when someone's there better to have a car since it's 15 mins to the nearest store or restaurant good to have some animal around, cat, dog, sheep, goat, horse & a pig

Great little place! The staff were friendly, fun and very welcoming. The rooms are basic but what you can't beat their prices!

This hostel has a really big TV with a good DVD selection and it also has it's own cinama. there are animals staying near by which was nice to see. it is very very quiet but really big and clean. right next to the mountains too, well a drive away.

Central Heating?? It didn't seem to be working most of the time and when I brought it to the attention of the staff they said they would do something about it, but nothing was done. Also the wood was wet and took FOREVER to light the fire to get the common rooms warm. Bring lotsa blankets!! Kitchen facilities are good and has paintballing which is fun! If you are here to snowboard would recommend you stay in Ohakune. It is closer to Turoa which has much nicer terrain for a snowboarder.
