It was a great location, good price. Not particularly clean, but not bad. Free wifi (good speed) and a bar downstairs - though there are sometimes people drinking in the bar at 10 am.

On arrival the crown and the staff were more than helpful, unfortunately the booking we made with yourselves for a twin room was not available and even though I had booked month upfront meant had to share a bed with a friend which normally wouldn't be so bad but I was full of a cold and did not like the fact I had woken my friend up during the night and passed on any germs. The staff said it was Hostel worlds fault and that the computer system should of shown double and not twin .

Not really a backpackers: basically a pub with some rooms rented out. If you want a place to sleep, go somewhere else. We booked a "family room" - found it was right above the DJ/dance floor area. Small print says "it gets a bit lively" at the weekend. UNDERSTATEMENT. Music was so loud the floor & walls were actually shaking - til 2a.m. then staff made a racket til 3. Downstairs was a rough chavvy crowd & bouncers on the door. Room had black mould & peeling wallpaper, no curtains on the window.

COULD NOT SLEEP AT ALL. The room was lovely but it was right above the pub party with an extremely loud PA and hundreds of people shouting. The noise was so loud that all the walls were shaking and it could vibrate in our bones, and it felt like the room was INSIDE the party itself. Loud nights on Fridays and Saturdays; I booked this hostel as it was the only hostel I could book online for Glastonbury and wanted a quiet weekend, but we ended uo sleeping above the only disco in town. DON@T GO.

Very centrally located, about a minute from the Abbey and a short walk from the Chalice Well and the Tor, if you're interested in sightseeing. The staff were friendly and very accommodating.

When we arrived both us and another couple had booked en suite rooms only to find there was no toilet. I was then informed that I had booked a semi en suite room. This was certainly not made clear when I made the booking. After waiting aprox 45 mins we were placed in the family room which had a toilet. Initially I was told I would have to pay extra but,it was then noted that it was hostelworld who had made the error. Staff work very long hours which reflected in their unfriendly attitude.

Have stayed here before with friends in a dorm and found it excellent and good fun. However as a couple it didn't work for us. You only had to look at the bed and in squeaked and groaned so forget any romance! Would go back with friends or as a base for a night on the lash. The staff were friendly and understanding, this is the towns late night venue so don't stay if you are looking for an early night to catch up on some sleep. However if you are going to have a good time its great :)

Rooms were lovely, however, advertised as ensuite, but no toilet. We booked a double & twin as we had 2 young people with us, who were opposite sex & whilst happy to share, were not happy to share the same bed. We remedied this by bringing a camp bed with us, however suprisingly no reduction was offered. The place is horrendously noisey with drunk fights and music pumping through the floors until the early hours of the morning, 3am. Sound proofing needs to be hugely addressed, as we barely slept

The hallway smelt disgusting, the room was clean. It was advertised as en suite but the toilet was through two doors and down a hall. By far the worst feature was the disco which finished at 2am (not advertised on the web site) and the after hours shouting from the landlord and his pals which kept me awake until dawn. The cleaner was distressed and said this had been going on since the new landlord took over - the the landlord said he wasn't aware the noise travelled to my room! Lies!

The day before I arrived I rang to ask if there was a storage space or a locker with a key I could put my lap top in. A lady answered and said there was a locker, with plenty of space for my bags and lap top. I am applying for jobs while travelling. When I arrived the man who showed me my room said there was no locker at all, I had been misinformed by a new lady who had started there. I was not shown round when i arrived and discovered by accident there was a kitchen and lounge.
