Friendly staff, basic dorms, for the price of staying in shared dorm, it had all the facilities needed for our stay. Bit of a mix up with rooms but the staff dealt with it immediately with no hassle. If you are after cheap, no frills self catering accommodation whilst staying in Glastonbury, it's a nice friendly place. Have stayed here before, weekends can be a bit lively/noisy, week days are quiet.

Amazing kitchen with lots of fridge space, and a very cozy, pleasant common room. I stayed at the Big Orange room and the beds were ok. But the floorboards creaked very loudly and the shower was more of a slight drizzle. The spare showers upstairs were quite uninviting. All in all, quite ok for 2 nights.

- needs a gate through the rear fence to allow access to the public car park - the drain hole in the shower was blocked

Got there around 4pm sweaty and needing a shower. Some clown had decided to shave their head in the shower so both showers were blocked. Charlie sorted it immediately fixed it immediately. She said running up and down the stairs kept her fit. She was right, she was fit in every respect :) The 4 bed mixed room was small, buck beds comfortable enough. The kitchen was massive, clean and pleasant. There was also a huge social room with a nice view of the street out the window. Awesome

WiFI was really unreliable, free but rarely able to actually use it. Beds were standard metal bunks with trampoline springs. Showers were really hot, but unable to make less hot. I'd rather have too hot than not hot, but could not get any variation from totally very hot.

I booked for two non-consecutive nights but unfortunately couldn't make the second night (sorry). I enjoyed it. The staff were great! The dorm was fine and the facilities fine. I would have no hesitation staying again... in fact I'm about to book again, right now...! Thank you folks. You're doing a fine job.

I have stayed here several times. A great old-fashioned hostel with a very nice, large kitchen/common room. Good value for money. Would definitely stay again.

The door to outside was frequently not locked, so anyone from the street could have entered and gained access to kitchen and dining area, and could have tried to get it the bedrooms too. The wifi was often not available.

Should be called "The Crown Bar & Hotel", the rooms really feel like an afterthought. Good kitchen facilities; both en suite and separate showers leave something to be desired. Excellent location; was serenaded by street players several days. A pair of mushrooms were growing in the carpet under radiator. Lousy WiFi signal - the only place I had a reliable signal was the hallway on the first floor where the bathrooms and lockers were. Luckily was not run into by anyone. Beds dipped in the middle.

Had a lovely stay. Was nervous due to other reviews but found the dorm relatively clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable and warm. The Crown is an excellent location but was never too noisy even on Saturday night (although I brought ear plugs (recommended) so not sure what it would be like without). Staff were friendly and welcoming, even when I got shut out one morning. Thank you so much!

It was ok. Only needed place to get a nights sleep. Not sure if I'd stay more than one night. Not the best of hostels but certainly not the worst.
