This stay really made my last travelling week complete!! A very nice Hostel with a lot of flair (old building, comfy interior). It was perfect for just a lazy day at the beach or even hang out at the hostel, watching a movie on the huge tv or playing x-box, or also a busy day at the city or golden bay and Abel Tasman National Park. I really enjoyed my stay there, it might not be the biggest hostel but it's got a great atmosphere, not to forgett the extremely nice staff, that always helps!!! :)

This was the most welcoming hostel I stayed at in all of New Zealand. I had such a wonderful time, it felt more like a home than a hostel. Thanks for a great stay! I wish I could have stayed longer.

generally a nice hostel, massive TV and DVD selection! Bathrooms were generally clean however it was the dirtiest kitchen i've ever seen! flies everywhere, fridge smelt like it had never been cleaned, sinks had basins full of cold dirty water (i can only assume people were washing their dishes in that) yuk yuk yuk :( they also provide free computers with internet to check emails and do forward bookings on...they have skype but no mic or speakers!!

Very big hostel. It has a bar so expect a few noisy guests. The curfew seems a bit late. The staff were very nice however. The building is very old and seems a little uninviting.

this was my favorite hostel during my whole 6 week trip. Marcus, the owner and his son Taylor were fantastic. It was a place that makes you feel welcomed and comfortable right away and the inviting atmosphere makes it really easy to make friends.

The owner and his son are both very helpful and informative. He drove us into town whenever we needed and picked us up when we called him. It's about a half hour walk to the CBD, but in the other direction, it's a half hour walk to the beach.
