Place was basically a construction site. If I were staying any longer than 1 night I might have been pretty annoyed by it. Great position though

Great hostel, prob one of the nicest I have stayed at. Still doing some construction work but when it's complete I'm sure it will be a fantastic hostel!

Noise at night from terrace was something loud. Staff was extremely helpful and willing to answer questions in a complete manner.

Very nice hostel in the vibrant part of London. Very helpfull staff, but keep in mind that this is a youth hostel! But if you want to experience the true nightlife of London this is the place to stay!

The whole place was under construction so there were workers everywhere. I knew that so expected it; on the other hand workers were coming in and out of the room at all times, and often the door wasn't actually locked, which I wasn't pleased with. There were almost no outlets in the rooms but for one power bar for 12 people. The location was great, exactly where I needed to be. The staff was friendly and helpful. Needs a bit more work, but it will end up being a good hostel.

The noise from them building a bar in the back yard made it impossible to sleep past 8am. There was hammers, drilling and that god awful electric saw that made us hit the streets as early as possible. Considering they charge full price, a litte more costy than others, it wasn't even finished! Bathrooms by the kitchen were under construction and apart from a damp cellar eating area there was no where to socialize. Taking this into concideration I regret not asking a refund. No security, wide open

the best hostel in London! location was great and the staff was really nice and helpful, especially the french guy...(had to haha)they had great music at reception, fresh bagels for breakfast (sometimes muffins as well!). they are renovating at the moment and going to have a new bar with a kitchen... so i will have to come back and see it!

The best hostel that I have stayed in London by far. It's got good character. The bar wasn't open when we were there, but I heard good things about it. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Prices in London can be relatively high compared to others in Europe, but this hostel is a good stay compared to others in the city. Lot's of good nightlife in the area and you aren't forced to take cabs after the tube closes. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

Biggest problem was the room was dreadfully hot, with no way to open a window or any form of ventilation. Also, the bagels as part of the free breakfast were really stale, and the TV in the breakfast area was so loud it hurt(who want dance music at 8am?!) with no remote available or buttons on the TV to do anything about it.

Pretty sure my response was colored by the fact that the bar was being renovated while I was staying here so I will qualify my responses with that.

Awesome hostel. Friendly and helpful staff. Perfect location. Couldn't have picked a better hostel. When the renovations are done this will be one of the best places to stay in London.

Great location, good price, fairly clean, not too much to complain about. Two girls in my room were just hired to work there. They were a bit crazy so I'm sure they will add some excitement to the rather dull staff.

They need a common / kitchen area badly !!!!!! and not just a bar !!!!!!where people can make something to eat in the evening especially if your in the hostel for work purposes.Having to buy a towel is just ridiculous !!!! and it should just have a towel hire / laundry service where you can get a fresh towel every couple of days. Other than that a good vibe in the place itself and the bar ..good shower/wash facilities .....the staff are the best thing..one word .....EXCELLENT!!

Pros: Clean rooms, super location, free breakfast. Cons: First, the wi-fi just work at the reception (it just works there, nowhere else at all). Moreover, you can't rent towels, but buy them for £5 (total rip-off for its quality, that means, bring your own towel). Furthermore, if you stay at the rooms on the 1st floor you can feel the vibration coming from the music downstairs at the bar, that means, you can sleep when the music is over and you get woken up at 9am, when the music starts again.
