Very comfortable place. They could use some more chairs in the pool and bar areas. I totally enjoyed my stay there.

Really great place to stay and everything that we had hoped following advice from fellow travellers from further south. Really friendly, helpful staff who have welcomed us back following our Lost City mud adventure!

thepeople at dreamer are very conscientious, helpful, sincere and knowledgable. they make you feel welcome and genuinely want to provide a memorable experience for their guests. you can book tours with them, they can give you any information you may need about santa marta and the surrounding areas .. parks and playas ... it is an oasis to come back to in the afternoon/evening .. with great pool, music, restaurant and bar .. that is if you want to leave .. !

Great place to hang out (awesome pool, pool table, bar area), very social hostel. Not really anything to do walking distance from the hostel, but its a good taking off point for day trips in the area. Staff and facilities were awesome.

The best hostel I've stayed in my whole South America trip! The staff is great, so friendly and willing to help! Thumbs up for all of them! The swimming pool is just great, there a restaurant with good food, a huge shopping mall is only a 5 minute walk, Taganga is 15 minutes by taxi, Tayrona is about an hour by bus (the bus stop is a few minutes away). The rooms are nice, all have lockers, have fans.

Great place to take a break in an easy going atmosphear...specially during your businness trip (try to manage a local team on the work!). If the friendly place, the good food, the pool, the bar and the sea are not enough for you to release the tenses, you can ask Michele to guide you through a meditation path to finally set your mood for your next hard days.

The only thing that was a little uncomfortable, not for me, but for my girl, was that they do not have hot showers. Everything else is great

Great stay at Dreamer, enjoyed the pool, worth being out of town for that luxury. A supermarket right round the corner, reasonable kitchen facilities but also a restaurant when you cant be bothered to cook. THey have a bar too with cheap happy hour, though it would be better if they varied the happy hour cocktail every day (as nice as the caipirinhas were it would be good to have something different)

Very friendly and well informed stuff. Great pasta. Nice swimming pool. Probably this is a cleanest (and the best!) hostel in Colombia.

Really friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere! Close to buses to Tayrona & Palomino, and shopping center with ATMs and supermarket. Clean and lots of hammocks!

Good hostel with great atmosphere. The courtyard with pool is really nice. Plenty of hammocks and all facilities you need. Apparently far outside of the center, but there is a big mall with supermarket nearby if you need anything. I was only in SM to go to Tayrona and do the Lost City hike and for that the location was fine. Staff are friendly and speak English.

Good hostel, good food ,nice and helpful staff.downside- the location, cold water & weak water pressue. Apart park Tyrona there is nothing worthy to do around. The concha bay & rodadero are ugly .I booked this hostel via hostelworld. After I paid in advance by visa for one week stay, they refused get me reimbersed for all cancelled nights except the last. But upon arrival I was reinsured that I could get money back or covered my food & drinks expenses if I notified 24 hrs in advance.

We had a great stay at the Dreamer! Coming from the Dreamer in Palomino we had great expectations and they were definately met at Santa Marta. The staff is super nice and the Hostel has everything you need to have a pleasant stay. Especially Ester has been very helpful and it seemed like she could run the place by herself. I would definately recommend The Dreamer to my friends that will hopefully visit Colombia as well in the near future
