Pool area is pretty epic and the upstairs outdoor kitchen and tv area is great. About 5km from downtown Santa Marta but there are cheap colectivos all the time and if youre heading to Tayrona, Palomino etc. its super easy to catch the bus from Dreamer. Giant supermarket 5 mins away too.

The hostel is really great, staff is extremly friendly the atmosphere is great, it is next to the beach and with Swimmingpool. .so everything you need. The only thing what is missing is a kitchen. I would definitely come here again ;)

I stayed at both the Santa Marta and Palomino locations. I might even like the Palomino one a bit more -- private path to the beach, great pool, awesome bar/food. The location itself is also just very beautiful. Was a great respite after our trek to Cabo de la Vela/Punta Gallinas.

This was the best hostel (resort?) we stayed at on our trip to Colombia. nice attentive staff, excellent location, very good restaurant and big swimming pool. Palomino beach is amazing and travellers to this region shoud not miss it.

If you are looking for a hostel to do nothing but lay by the water than this is a great hostel. If you are looking to hike in the nearby parks, all the advertised trips are actually based out of their Santa Marta Hostel. I tried to book a trip though them and got fed a couple of different stories over a 15 hour period and in the end not getting to do the trip I wanted, and wasting a half a day doing nothing. If you are looking for a base for Trayona, its about 2 hours from the entrance.

Loved this Hostel!!! From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everything at The Dreamer was wonderful, but the absolute best thing was the staff and of course the patrons Fulvio and Esther were also great. They were always friendly, helpful, and smiling, and they made our time at The Dreamer feel like visiting really great, fun friends. The food was excellent and it had a great atmosphere. Great location for those trekking to Parque Tayrona, Minca and even the "Lost City"

This hostel is like a holiday resort and and a 1 minute walk from the beach. Beautiful! The rooms have fans but could do with more for the top bunks! Also I found the cleaning staff to be very rude and wouldn't allow you to be in the room at all whilst they were cleaning even to use the bathroom, they really need to be trained on how to handle people. Also the bathrooms should be cleaned more than once a day- 8 people sharing should be cleaned at least twice and they tend to get a bit dirty.

We initially booked into dreamers for 2 nights, then extended to 5 then 7 nights, the hostel is awesome, on the beach, excellent pool and chilled vibe. The main issue is once you get here it's nearly impossible to leave. The staff are really friendly and make you feel at home. Highly recommend, it's a must for your trip to Columbia.

A nice, relaxing hostel - felt a bit like a budget resort :-) Only one minor point for the hostel: though the beds along the pool look nice, they're very uncomfortable. An easy solution could be getting thicker matrasses, but an even better would be to replace them

The hostel is by far one of the best I have stayed in Colombia. Staff people were amazing, and always willing to help you. The distance to the beach makes it a very nice place to stay

Dreamer Palomino is a hard place to leave! Excellent place to relax! Good vibes by the pool in the day and by the bar at night. Private exit to a peaceful beach. Staff are super helpful. Rooms are big and comfy. Great breakfast. Internet was strong.
