I stayed twice on The dreamer during my trip to La Guajira. The area is amazing and beautiful. Less crowded than other places nearby but with a great vibe. The staff are cool and very helpful people who will be eager to help you out planning your next stop. Is great to know we have a top level hostel in this beautiful country!

We stayed for 2 nights and it was lovely. The pizza is amazing! Great value for money you feel as if you are in a resort not a hostel and the pool is dreamy.

We definitely had a good time here! Nice, relaxed atmosphere, good food and enough space to hang aroud. Bring enough time though, the staff and kitchen need it.

Everything is perfect. Except the closing of the bar at 12 pm

Really cool hostel. Swimming pool and beach are great. The dorm room was large and cleaned regularly. It gets fairly hot without AC though. The bar was cool with nice food and drink. The breakfast is good but overpriced. You work off a tab in the dreamer and with nothing really around locally it can become expensive for the average backpacker.

Really great Hostel and fantastic spot to chill and relax either on way further north or on way back.Spacious Clean Dorms, helpful friendly staff, great B'fast which comes st a fee,as do lunch and dinner but well worth the money, short walk to the beach if you are tired of chilling next to clean blue pool.I highly recommend this hostel. I would however recommend that Dreamer hostel provides a suitable kitchen for those who would prefer to cook and do something about the ever present begging dogs.

The tab system with no option to pay up front is no good, It's very hard to keep track of what you had & to know if the staff haven't got your bill mixed up with some one elses.. Good hostel tho with great staff & right on the beach, it does get very hot at nights tho as there is no Air Con

1. dormitory bathroom was absolutely dirty, toilet seat broken 2. food at the restaurant was very low quality and very little. prices were too high 3. the girls of the reception were great barkeepers were amazingly nice... but one guy at the reception was the unfriendliest person i have met 4. its not a great place to meet people. most want to be for themselves. the crowd during my stay was the worst i have experienced during all my trips. overall it was not worth the money to stay there.

This place does look like an oasis. The pool is great to chill out around. Nice restaurant serving good food and fresh fruit juices. issues we had: we were staying as a group who were looking for a bit of travel down time and a few drinks round the pool. We had power cuts constantly while we were there..every 10-15mins that lasted for hours. The power in room was off constantly so showering in pitch black, no fan in room that worked. The happy hour was pretty poor.beer not included

great pool, close to the beach. not a goot value for money in my opinion( should have kitchen, A/C and cheaper food)

The Dreamer on the beach is incredible. I´ve been in alot of different hostels and this one is by far the best. The food is amazing, the staff and atmosphere are super friendly and the location simply can´t be beat. If you´re traveling in Colombia I would deffinitely take the time to visit Palomino and spend a few days in paradise at the Dreamer on the Beach.

Amazing place. Stayed in a private and even though it was a little over our budget it was really worth it. The facilities and proximity to the beach are excellent. The only thing letting it down is the food. Limited menu and just not really upto much. Great place regardless though.

This is an amazing hostel! Great location just steps away from the beach with a beautiful garden and swimming pool. Very kind and helpful staff and a great place to meet other travelers. The food is really good with reasonable prices, especially breakfast and pizza. The bar is nice as well. My only recommendation would be to give each person a room key, because anyone can get into the hostel and easily enter your room. Definitively the best hostel in town!

there was some ambiguity about cancellation policy; one staff answer was overriden by his supervisor

the hostel had lovely big airy rooms, nice swimming pool bar and restaurant. Most of the staff were nice, but had one incident where a staff member had confused days and was a bit harsh in how he was demanding we check-out after we'd agreed the day before to stay another night. There was quite a young crowd when we stayed, which meant there was drinking games in the bar in the evening, which wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea! Overall quite lovely, and nice, next to the beach etc.

definitely the best hostel where I have been!! the place is beautiful and the rooms are so big and comfortable with a good mattress. The italian restaurant is a plus and the staff is helpful and friendly. Palomino itself is a paradise, I will recommend the place to everyone!

Very nice hostel, staff on front desk are very nice and facilities are good.atmosphere was a bit flat and should arrange some social guests for guests. Also menu could do with some updating for diner although best breakfast I had in South America.
