Great hostel, very accomodating staff, newly furnished, clean bright atmosphere and decor, comfy beds, clean bathrooms, warm hostel, good hostel vibes. Free entry to tentennis courts.

I loved my stay and the good atmoaphere.Thank you guys so much !

The hostel was fine, good rooms and facilities. I agree with the other comments here, lots of long-term guests who we didn't really get to know so the atmosphere wasn't the best. Couldn't fault it as a place to stay for the night though. It's just a little walk from the city, very easy to find your way.

8 bed dorm just off the kitchen so a bit loud. no rubbish bins in the rooms. Clean and comfortable beds- wooden bunks which are very nice good and helpful staff - friendly atmosphere

It would have been good to have bedside lights and a rubbish bin in the dorm, and perhaps some extra blankets. Bathrooms were quite dirty. Otherwise, decent hostel with a nice kitchen/dining area.

The staff were so great when I was being completely disorganised at the last minute! Very nice little place to stay!

Please don't say that there is internet when there clearly is not.

Really nice place to stay, much more pleasant public spaces and bedrooms than other hostels in town. Very friendly and flexible with arrival/departure times if necessary. Only limitation is the wifi which is intermittent and frustrating to use.

Stayed for 2 nights as part of holiday round NZ so in city to see sights. Perfect for us as only 10-15min straight down into city centre and supermarket just across street. Not far from ferry terminal or train station either. Really clean with super cosy beds and a brilliant kitchen though a little on small size for amount of guests. Staff we're super friendly and helpful. Didn't spend a lot of time in hostel but the facilities seemed good! Would definitely recommend and stay here again :)

I've stayed in a lot of hostels, and this is right up there with the very best. Great atmosphere, clean, secure, excellent facilities: everything you need from a hostel.

Nice and clean... Pretty far away and seems like most guests are long-term and as a result witnessed social interaction but not much mixing with short stayers! Wellington is a brilliant city though... Kitchen and commons areas were clean and well done

Absolutely amazing hostel, highly recommended!

Great hostel! One of the best ive been in. Service, atmosphere and facilities where very good! Only complaint was wifi broadband did not work very well! Suggest an improvement for this.

Extremely clean, nicely decorated hostel. The finishes, flooring and furniture are very nice. Only complaint was the guy at the counter who checked us in was unnecessarily rude.

The 8-ppl dorm was very cold, especially early in the morning (in June). Other than that great atmosphere, but a little bit far away from the city center. Might be much more pleasant in warmer months.

Great atmosphere, very social. Free breakfast was simple but great. Clean beds with power outlets next to some of the top bunks was awesome. Great location.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Dwellington. It feels like living in a shared flat. Breakfast for free and a tennis court next door. And the supermarket is just around the corner. Take the bus or go for a 30 minutes walk to the city.

The hostel was good! Very clean, staff was very friendly. The girls in the room however was awful! Made it clear they didn't like short team guests....I have travelled all around oz and New Zealand and this is the first place I have ever come across A group of girls like it....real shame as everything else was ideal. So don't take it personally!

Was a great hostel overall, but there were some incredibly strange things about it. The main criticism would be the kitchen. There was a really large breakfast bar type island in the middle (which in your own home would be epic) but with loads of seats around it people tend to camp around, meaning there is essentially nowhere to prepare food. Take the chairs away, and it would be fantastic. There was also no microwave - definitely need one of them. More bathroom space too please. V good overall.

Really good for just 25 dollars. Big rooms, comfortable beds and clean bathrooms and kitchen. The WIFI conection its really bad, but its free and unlimited.
