Expecting power point plug in each bed like other hostels that i visited previously in other country. But actually i realized that most of the hostel in Australia providing the same way of power point facilities.

this was a pretty good hostel - clean had everything i needed. the location was awesome. i was worried about staying in northbridge over a weekend from previous reviews, but it was fun, quirky and full of bars and restaurants; i am 22 and was travelling alone and i didnt really feel unsafe. i was also put in a room of other female travelling alone, which was good for making friends. the hostel has discounts for tours and vouchers for certain popular attractions. you have to pay for wifi.

Clean hostel in a decent location, just a few minutes walk to the CBD. A quiet hostel, so if you're looking to party then this is the wrong place for you. Only real con was the wifi. Very expensive at $2 for 20 minutes! But the library is close by and is a wifi free zone.

I booked this place through Hostel World online, very affordable at $33 AUD a night, I was in a 4 bed dorm. Unlike a lot of hostels or backpackers around the world, Emperor's Crown has airconditioning! It made a difference as it was hot during the 4 days I was in Perth, so nice to cool off. I had arrived late, well after midnight as my flight was delayed, I buzzed myself in and the female receptionist was nice, opened the door for me to come in, went through the payment, and gave me my room key.

It is a nice hostel and the staff there are nice. there was a free maxican food party once and we had a good time. It would be nice if there is free internet access.

Didn't have a great time here, it seems to be more geared up for people who are working or looking for a cheap hotel in a good location. The front desk was closed more times than it was open when I was there and when I checked out they didn't volunteer to refund my key deposit, I got it when I went back in the afternoon to collect my bag after I remembered about it during the day. Also, beware that there is a club nearby which is loud until about 2am most nights if you're looking to sleep!

Maybe the best hostel you can find in Perth because the choice is poor! Very clean, to expencive for the money in australian average but I'd rather pay a little bit more and have a clean accomodation. Wifi is expensive but you can get Free wifi on northbridge Plaza or in pedestrian mall in Perth City.
