OK, I'm Bulgarian so you can trust me on this: easily cleaner, safer and friendlier than any 3- or 4-star hotel in this country! This is a hostel and not a small hotel only because you get to share a bathroom (the one we shared was impeccable, by the way!). Great staff, fantastic location. Steve, the owner, is a total character. Get ready to discuss your national history and stereotypes! Chances are, Steve will know more about you than you do! Wonderful people. I was so lucky to have stayed at the English Guesthouse. A very nice place ! Nice and clean rooms and toilet/bathroom. Steve, the friendly manager was very service oriented, sometimes we had time to talk for some minutes. So if someone travels from/to Romania to Bulgaria/Greece/Turkey by train, he/she should at least stop for one day in Ruse ! In Ruse the diverse squares, the Danube River Walk and the Old Roman Fortress are recommended ! A very nice place ! Nice and clean rooms and toilet/bathroom.
