This hostel is awesome! Very helpful and friendly staff that make this very spacious and clean hostel even better: big rooms, unlimited internet, FREE international calls, confortable beds, lockers with power plugs in them, spa pool.. The flaming Kiwi has got everything to make this place safe and convenient for everyone. I strongly recommend it if you re looking for having a great time in Queenstown in a great hostel.

I couldn't speak more highly of Chris and Kent. They were so laid back but also real keen to accommodate us and make our stay as comfortable as possible. The place is more than affordable, it's warm, beds comfy, kitchens and common areas clean and the hot tub, free bikes and frisbees aren't bad perks either. Good views of the hills, a 5 minute walk from the centre of town and, in particular, the staff are 3 more of the many reasons to stay here.

I really like this place. It was just what I wanted - its not right in town, but only like 3-5mins walk. I just like it cos it was more laid back, home around from home type of thing. The only thing that's not as good, is there are only a small limit of toilets/ showers. But this was of little concern as every1 is aware of this and has short showers.

More toilets and showers should be provided to accommodate the number of travellers. The kitchen is a bit small and lack of ventilator fan. Otherwise, it\'s good place to stay at.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. When they found out we were getting married and going to have our honey moon in NZ, they even gave us a voucher for free pizza! Also, facilities were squeaky clean. And we had a great room with a balcony. It was an awesome experience.

The friendliest staff I have come across in a hostel so far, they will go out of their way to help you. Location is good, a short walk to everything in town but away from the night time noise. The facilities were good although it would be better if each bed had a little night light for reading so that other people can still sleep, otherwise a great place!

It is only a 5 minute walk to the center of town! The service was absolutely outstanding! I would stay there again if I was ever in Queenstown. The dorm style had bunkbeds but the one I stayed in had its own bathroom. There was free wifi and the staff was so helpful in calling tous and helping to plan tours as well. There were two kitchens on the main level and one downstairs! It was absolutely a fantastic place to stay!

I loved staying at the Flaming Kiwi. It feels more like staying in a house than a hostel as it has a welcoming atmosphere and is a nice place to chill out. There were 3 kitchens which were always so clean and well equip. I never found myself battling for space to cook a meal or to store my food. The staff are really helpful and friendly. They actually take the time to show you around when you arrive which I've never had in any of the hostels I've stayed in. Great place to stay!

A nice clean hostel, slightly outside of the town, which can be an advantage (lack of outside noise)
