Enjoyed staying here but the showers were poor and there definitely wasn't enough of them-there was generally a queue for bathroom morning and evening.

I didn't actually stay as it wasn't what I expected and I sat for over an hour waiting for the owner to come and check me in. I rang the number left at reception but received no answer so I took it as a sign and I left. Very disappointed as this hostel came very highly recommended from my brother.

The Flying Fox was a home away from home, complete with family that it was just as hard to say goodbye to when it was time to move on. If you're just getting to Australia and don't know where to go and what to see then this place is the answer. A 10 minute walk from town center and the train. Includes: breakfast, free internet, trail and lookout maps (and people who've done them to make suggestions), occasional pasta dinners, great campfire area, bedtime cookies, tea/coffee, and so much more.

The staff was great, and the location was nice, right in the middle of town, and near all the stuff to do in the Blue Mountains. The travelers were incredible friendly and the place was very much like home. Ilsa was great, and it was very comfortable.

It's a cozy hostel. The host ROSS is such a nice guy who helps you a lot. Everything you need you can count on his help, from looking for activities to washing your own clothes. The room is clean and comfortable. Since this is not a big hostel, your won't find it too crowded in the kitchen and lounge room. It's a great place to meet new friends, chat and relax. Here is a hostel you should never miss. They provide free breakfast, Internet and WiFi which is really convenient for backpackers..

One of the best hostels that I have stayed at. Even though the weather was cold and wet during our stay( we had an awesome time at the Flying Fox. They have a 'no computer' policy in the common room between 6-9pm, which meant that it was far more social than a lot of other places I have been to, without being a 'party' hostel. Also, the owner always seemed to appear with a pack of Tim Tams when you were having a tea or coffee! I would definately stay here again.

Best hostel I've stayed in so far ! The owner, Ross, made me feel so welcome from the moment I walked throught the door. With free breakfast, tea & coffee all day, mulled wine and biscuits around a log fire ..... what more could you need !!

Great independent hostel. I wish I could have found places like this all over Australia. The owner runs a tight ship. Free breakfast is always a winner. Well stocked kitchen. Got great advice on walking trails and things to do around the area. Recommended.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Very homely atmosphere. Very clean and a lot of effort has been made to make the hostel look nice with flowers etc. The mulled wine (sorry i forgot the correct name for it) was really yummy. an excellant location.
