A bit odd having to walk downstairs past main reception every time you want to go to ladies toilets/showers. Bathroom facilities fairly average but great location and cheap

We found that the kitchen was very messy, not sure if this was because the other guests were not cleaning up after themselves of just general dirtiness

Stayed over Easter weekend. Positives * Location - not far to city or water, across from bus station * Breakfast included cereal with the toast * Free wi-fi in kitchen/dining area and on 2 computers Negatives * Arrived thinking there was parking - sent a few blocks away to pay 5Euros overnight * Mould near the window * Lukewarm showers * No lounge area - only kitchen/dining * Worst thing was waking up to LOUD music at around 7.30am put on by the hostel staff, blasting from the kitchen area below

The best thing about this hostel is the staff. Nicest bunch of guys ever!! The beds were really comfy/ cosy too. But the toilets/ showers were on another floor which was a pain in the ass. Two female toilets on one floor and two male on the other floor. Why not one of each on both floors?!?! Overall I enjoyed my stay but I'd rather try an other hostel in Galway before I went there again

Needs a couch or something. The toilets were annoying, should have a male/female on each floor rather than males on one floor and female on another.

Staff is very friendly and helpful, but the facilities in the hostel is not impressive. Only two toilets for boys/girls for all lodgers in the hostel. The space in the room is also quite limited. There will be no place to store a suitcase larger than 24\".

Really great hostel in fantastic location just few steps from the bus station. Nice and friendly staff, helpful even after checking-out from hostel. Dorms are quite small but still it is great value for money (breakfast provided). Kitchen and bathrooms available and clean.

The dorm rooms were quite crowded and the facilities in general were subpar. Additionally, the bathrooms were few and far between and not maintained well with toilet paper. Also, the light in the room wasn't working when we arrived. However, it was a great price and great location if you don't mind "roughing it" quite a bit!

Could do with more of a lounge than eating area. Also would be good if they put solo travellers in rooms together, as each of the 3 nights I was there, a noisy group of 4 or more people checked in and were bloody noisy in the morning. Loved all the Pearl Jam and Guns n Roses being played! All in all a good option for Galway, much better than Sleepzone where I stayed a few years back.

Great location, very helpful and actually friendly staff. Breakfast included. As far as hostels go - and being on a budget - this place was fantastic.

I stayed here in January, and there were some seedy-looking people that were also staying here. The hostel itself was extremely cold in all the rooms. I had to ask the front desk to turn the heat on in my room (apparently it isn't expected that people will want a heated room in January). The radiator in my room did not work very well, and was off significantly more than it was on. I had to use the bedding of 2 other beds to stay warm at night. It was really loud too, with all the buses outside.
