Not really a place to meet people as the common room is more of a tiny hallway, but the location is unbeatable. The only major downside is you are right below a daycare, so if you stay during the week plan on getting woken up by a bunch of toddlers running, screaming and crying above you.
Pretty nice and clean place to stay. Only fridge was not clean (impossible to use), but, it is just a minor thing... We had everything we needed.
The owner yelled at every guest encountered, myself included. He even threw out a group as we arrived. If you don't encounter him, you'll probably have a quiet stay. Just watch out.... Also, you need to CALL when you arrive, otherwise you may not find anyone available to check you in. If you want reception, you need to go around the back of the building, up the stairs, and ring the doorbell labelled with the name of the apartment complex. They may or may not answer it though.
The room was over a 5min walk to the underground metro and a 15-20 min train ride to central Munich. We also discovered around 730-8am that the bottom room is right under a childcare. So we were woken up by children running and screaming right over our heads. Owner only gave 1 key and there was 1 in the back of the door (we thought for deadlocking so left it). After checking out the owner called accusing us of not returning the second key and that he couldn't unlock the room. He was really rude!
Such a lovely little getaway! Clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff were so helpful, the room was perfect and private and the shower and bathroom were great. It is a little far from the city centre, but is close to an underground station that takes you there. I would stay here again.
When arriving the signals at the entrance were not clear, so we were yelling in the middle of the night and the host got upset momentarily...
The network was unusually good. We really appreciated the laundry service.
Was a warm, welcoming place that provided secure rooms, cosy beds and a million heaters in each room for those colder nights. All in all a great place to stay. Only quarrel is that it's a 1.5km walk to the main strip of shops. Great for burning off calories after a big meal, but terrible when it's raining.
