After reading some reviews, I was prepared for this hostel by bringing my own towel, sleeping bag (in case it got cold at night), and lock on my suitcase for security so it wasn't as bad as some people think. The staff were nice, and the location was exellent. Although if you're someone who wants to travel really lightly, this may not be the hostel for you.

I enjoyed my stay. I upgraded to a private hotel room and it was very large and comfortable with plenty of hot water. The location is good, not too long to walk into times square.

There is no free water tap. And the drinks selling machine only accept coins, it is not convenient.

Did not enjoy my stay here at the slightest. If you are a pretentious person who can't actually afford a nice hotel in real life then this is the place for you.

Like everyone said, there is no locker for the dormitory rooms and you get a tiny flimsy blanket for free. If you want a towel and a sheet, you have to pay $6. Even though I was assigned to a four-bed ensuite, I discovered to find out that I was in two rooms of four beds and sharing one bathroom. The subway is super close and lots of things like the Empire State Building is within walking distance.

I booked a 4 person room ensuite and it was two 4 persons room ensuite, divided by a door, so it was only one bathroom for 8 people! They even didn't add an extra sink, so I had to use their common bathroom downstairs just for washing my face and brushing my teeth in the mornings, because another person was having a shower. They charge you sheets, so better take yours. And they turn off heating during the night, and they give you an extremely thin blanket, so you better wear a thick pajama.

Really great atmosphere. Definitely did not disappoint. The staff were great. The only downside is that there are no lockers in the bunk rooms which is frustrating when trying to keep your stuff safe. Also the first night our room was actually freezer and the heating was being very temperamental. They only give you one blanket so not really the best when you are in a freezing cold room. However, these are minor things. Great hotel! Id definitely go back! :)

Clean and decent-sized bathroom and room. However beds were uncomfortable and squeaky. and the fact that we had to pay to rent sheets was not mentionned at check-in. Some guy stole my friend's personal towel and sold it to another person in the room who had no idea about that. Also someone took her additional blanket (couldn't sleep because it was too cold) so overall the stay was quite exhausting (uncomfortable/noisy bed and people+ cold) although the location is great and it's a clean place.

You can't expect much from dorm rooms, but the snoring room mate meant I got no sleep. The door didn't lock, hence the low score for security. Was an interesting hotel for character. But wouldn't recommend it as a backpackers venue.

This hotel was pretty bad. I dont know how they get so high ratings, but maybe these are only for single, twin or suites. We stayed in a 6 bed room dorm even when we booked a 4 bed on! Terrible beds, a tiny bath, which was not cleaned every day. The staff didnt really care even when we tried to discuss the dorm problem - fully booked so no changings were the answers. we ve stayed in bad hostel already but this added a amazing price to it which was the real reason that pissed us of.

It's a nice place very central in Manhattan. I was upgraded to a 4-bed-dorm which felt like an old hostel room with two bunkbeds and a bathroom. The facilities are a bit old but clean and functional, the lobby is nice and in general if feels more like a hotel than a hostel.

When I went to check in, I ended up being told the rooms were not ready and forced to sit for more than an hour waiting. Eventually, they gave me my room and upgraded me to a two-bedroom bunker for the wait. The rooms are small but the location is great and they had everything I needed.

Nice staff (Jimmy). Easy to find, and well located between the strip and downtown. 24h bus (2$). When you first arrive, the area seems a bit strange next to an adult store, and a loud tatoo shop. But remember you're in Vegas... Quite and safe by night. Brand new rooms, confortable, with nice showers. Small kitchen and common area. Can't judge for the social life as I was out most of the time. You may like it or not. It was ok for me.

Budget hotel with annexed dorms for 24/7 broke students like me. Clean, good location, ideal for travellers who planned a last-minute visit to NY. Close to the Empire State Building, the Museum of Sex, Time Square. Being mainly an hotel you shouldn't expect much fun, but in the dorm you can always find someone to hang out with.

The only interrest is the location, ON THE 5th east NOT ON THE 7th, next to the museum of sex. (It took me an hour to find it). Bed linen for 6$(supposed to be included). I asked for some change for using the internet, and was told to go to the cafe around the corner (I gave them all my 1$ notes just before). The comptuter's mouse and keyboard didn't work (0,2/min, 3$ mini). Basic room, not so clean, only 1 door to the shower. Tricky card to access. Staff only care about your money. Bad vibs

it was kind of hard to use the elevator because there is only one elevator for the whole hotel and that one is really slow. we alwayz had to wait a while. The door lock and our key cards didn't really work and within 4 days we had to get new cards four times. one day before we left the front desk told us, we have to renew the cards every day. woul've been nice to know that before.

This was a great hostel in a fantastic location - just down from the Empire State Building and the Flatiron building. There is a cafe downstairs too, which was great for a quick meal in the morning. No lockers though.
