The only thing missing are lockers in the room, all other things were very good.

I had the chance to stay at a feminine dorm and then at a room (because they were going to start remodelling the dorms) and while the room was great, with all the facilities you need to be comfortable, the dorm was very poor on this subject: I was visiting New York on February and it was very cold, so it was really bad that the heating system on my dorm was broken, and they had provided only one blanket for me. Otherwise the place is great, very clean and very good location.

This was my first time staying in an NYC hostel (though it is technically a hotel with hostel accomodations). Overall it was very nice. The location was great, the staff was nice , and the hotel theme was very unique. Our faucet was a bit leaky, and had trouble getting hot water at times, but no major issues. I would stay here again, for sure.

When I walked in to get a bed, the reception said the 8-bed dorm was $49.99. I saw that it was $32 online earlier. She told me that I would have to book online to get that price. Once inside the dorm, it had 10 beds, not 8. It was a bit crammed with bunk beds. There are no lockers. The radiator heat made the room pretty hot. There is one whole bathroom in the dorm. The closets were good, lots of hooks. The floors are very squeaky. Great staff and friendly security guard.

The location is great, right in centre of Manhatten, but the dorm was really small and noisy without cupboards or lockers. The estaurant downstairs is really nice, but there is no shared kitchen belonging to the Hotel.

I could not ask for more! It was in a safe area, near to both the yellow and green subways. Within short walking distance of all necessary amenities(bank, pharmacy, ups, food). The shower would often switch to really hot or really cold temporarily, not such a big deal considering the tubs were so large you could move to avoid the spray until it switched back. The staff were helpful when there was no line ups and when busy rushed to get to the next person, thats just courtesy. Overall lovely!

The staff in the hostel were helpful. Location is near subway, but the streets around it looked pretty shabby at night. Pricing is great for a hostel in Manhattan, but do not have high expectations. The 2 bed female dorm was really small. But you get what you pay for. My only complaint is that the shower was not functioning well. The water was either too hot or too cold.

I stayed 3nights and had good time there! The staffs were so nice. The room where 4ppl were in was clean but I felt cold when I slept. There were no towels and hair drier but it was okay.and it is available to walk to Times Square:)

They did not answer my phone calls and were tardy in answering my email. As a result, I thought they wet struggling. I was worries they might close before or while I was ther so I cancelled and rebooked elsewhere. So sorry. I put 'average' for all, even though I was not there, just to be able to submit this.

The heater was making noise whole night. It seems someone hitting the wall. The blanket is dirty.

I stayed in a shared co-ed dorm-style room with two bunk beds (4 beds total). The beds were very squeaky, and unstable when climbing. What put me off the most was that the blankets were made of strange sticky spongy material and very cold for the winter. The room was cold during my stay in December, and the hallways were warmer than our room. What little heating was from the pipe in the bathroom. Not sure if this it was a room problem but the air smelled funny in the mornings, bad ventilation.

Definitely my favourite hostel in the world! Where else could you get a 2-people dorm with private bathroom for $60, not to mention the ueber-central location, nice staff and decidedly artsy and funky decoration everywhere?

When we arrived they only had a booking for one instead of two and after proving that I booked for two they neglected to mention that we had been placed in seperate rooms (not even on the same floor) when I noticed and asked instead of apologising and offering to see what they can do simply kept stating its not guaranteed. Its poor form to put people travelling together in seperate rooms worse to not even mention it or apologize. A simple "we are really sorry but..." would have gone a long way.

The toilet leaked and when I went to the front desk to tell them, they didn't ocme for an hour. Then they "fixed" it with tape around the pipe. It leaked so much that we stood in the bathroom in two inches of water. Disgudting.

In my opinion the hotel was very special. I loved the atmosphere and the artworks that were hanging everywhere throughout the hotel. There was a cafe right next to the lobby that was always filled with people and laughter.I stayed in the hotel on a budget and used a dorm. The people I stayed with were very nice and polite and I didn't have any problems with sharing the room. The only downside is that it's a hotel and not a hostel, so it's not that easy to meet new people to hang out with
