Such an excentric place, lots of interesting art/entertainment. Room was clean with friendly ppl. Bathroom was adequate, bunks were alright. Blanket was a bit manky but i've seen worse. The area is central for walkers. If you're not looking to stay long in your room its a great place. Had a bit of an issue booking airport shuttle, the man refused to offer me names of any other companies and telling me to pay $35 when not necessary. The english guy at reception was really cute :)

Not worth the money. Plenty of better options around. Would not stay again or recommend it.

Beautiful building with interesting character. Good price given that. The lady red-head behind the front counter was rude and unprofessional. This is a hostel, not the yacht club. There are no lockers in the rooms, which is a major practical problem for anyone traveling. Towels and linens are $6. The room was not heated to the point that we couldn\'t sleep even with 4 blankets on each. All in all, potential to be a mecca in the city, but management / hiring has fallen flat.

Stayed in the dorm room section of the hotel for $70 a night. We thought it would be a pretty nice room seeing as it was easily twice as much money as all the other hostels we stayed at on the trip. So wrong. Charged $6for towels, wtf. Rickety, uncomfortable beds...almost tipped over when you got in the top bunks. Small rooms, smaller bathrooms. Not particularly clean bathrooms.

Bad customer service, Bad attitude from the staff, Dirty bathroom, Squeaky bunk bed. Don't stay here unless you got no other place to stay.

After reading some reviews, I was prepared for this hostel by bringing my own towel, sleeping bag (in case it got cold at night), and lock on my suitcase for security so it wasn't as bad as some people think. The staff were nice, and the location was exellent. Although if you're someone who wants to travel really lightly, this may not be the hostel for you.

I enjoyed my stay. I upgraded to a private hotel room and it was very large and comfortable with plenty of hot water. The location is good, not too long to walk into times square.

There is no free water tap. And the drinks selling machine only accept coins, it is not convenient.

Did not enjoy my stay here at the slightest. If you are a pretentious person who can't actually afford a nice hotel in real life then this is the place for you.

The Hostels ALL over the world have to do something about the SNORING in the rooms. This is your worse problem and make me reconsinder going to back to the Hotels again. The insident occured in this hotel with a 22year old man from Brazil, who was snoring the whole night through. When approached, then threaten me 2. The reception couldn\'t do anything they said! The costumers should tell that they have a snoring problem when they get in to a Hostel!

Like everyone said, there is no locker for the dormitory rooms and you get a tiny flimsy blanket for free. If you want a towel and a sheet, you have to pay $6. Even though I was assigned to a four-bed ensuite, I discovered to find out that I was in two rooms of four beds and sharing one bathroom. The subway is super close and lots of things like the Empire State Building is within walking distance.

I booked a 4 person room ensuite and it was two 4 persons room ensuite, divided by a door, so it was only one bathroom for 8 people! They even didn't add an extra sink, so I had to use their common bathroom downstairs just for washing my face and brushing my teeth in the mornings, because another person was having a shower. They charge you sheets, so better take yours. And they turn off heating during the night, and they give you an extremely thin blanket, so you better wear a thick pajama.

Really great atmosphere. Definitely did not disappoint. The staff were great. The only downside is that there are no lockers in the bunk rooms which is frustrating when trying to keep your stuff safe. Also the first night our room was actually freezer and the heating was being very temperamental. They only give you one blanket so not really the best when you are in a freezing cold room. However, these are minor things. Great hotel! Id definitely go back! :)
