It is just the best place I've ever been. so relaxed, so helpful, so cheap. Great location.

This is the best hostel I have ever stayed in (and I've stayed in alot of hostels!). The staff were so welcoming and this hostel felt like home. We didn't want to leave and we ended up extending our stay for twice what we had planned. The village is so beautiful and the Rustica Pizza's are amazing! Super cheap, super dobry! I miss Kevin and Wally already... Nothing bad to say about this place.

one of the best hostels i've stayed in. amazing backpackers atmosphere (with just the right amount of calculated rowdiness), cosy common room, beautiful location, good value for money, and the most amazing hostel dog.

The Hostel becomes the destination rather than the location! OK, the mountains are great, forests and river walks are a nice change than city stuff. BUT: The Ginger Monkey was by far the best decision we have made in our 4 weeks travel. Our kid was fully occupied with Wally the dog, we had a great time chilling at the terrace and I have watched DVD's as if there is no tomorrow. The kitchen is a great place to meet people. The Hostel isdefinately worth a visit. Thanks to Dan and Dan and Karla!

So basically, this hostel and its staff are awesome enough that I stayed here twice in the same month. Dan, Carla, Dan: thanks, y'all.

This place is great! The staff are fantastic, you feel right at home and the free breakfast is awesome! I definitely would recommend this to anyone!! And they have a dog named Wally and you can take him on your walks!

Great feel to the hostel. Friendly and very welcoming to everyone. Some good walks nearby or an easy bus trip to neighbouring towns for a huge variety of hikes.

loved this hostel! brilliant staff :) and the most amazing dog ever - wally!!! hes great for a cuddle! a really nice chilled out place, very homely feel. the location is amazing, the views are incredible. cannot wait to go back one day when theres snow! any excuse really to wear a onesie again haha! :)

A very nice hostel looking over beautiful high Tatra mountains in Slovakia. Welcoming and friendly staff having all the information you need. Very well located particulalry for hikers and skiers.I had a great time and would highly recommend for short term or long term stay. Dan and his team is great.

Very cosy hostel in an amazing environment, located just some metres away from the church. Big kitchen and cosy living room. Everything very basic, what else to expect in the mountains? By the way, Wally the Dog is a sufficient reason to visit this hostel. Very charming and funny dog!

Amazing place in an amazing setting! I booked 3 nights here, but ended up staying for 9. This hostel attracts a very chill group of people, and the atmosphere is amazing! I had so much fun at the Ginger Monkey, can't wait to come back!

Once I had a dream of opening the most awesome hostel in the world, catering to the road weary traveler, offering them a retreat of fun, hilarity, friendship, and mountains. Then I came to the Ginger Monkey, and realized that my dream had already taken shape. The staff here is made up of the most wonderful people in the universe, the beer flows like snowmelt, and if you need it, there is Goulash right down the street. Stay here if you are ready to fall in love and never want to leave.
