Will the owner was very friendly and helpful. It was about 20mins bus from Manchester - the only downside, but a great place to stay.

I was working in Salford and needed a place to stop for two nights. It was near to where I needed to be and basic but I didn't need anymore than a bed really.

We had a great time in Manchester! The hostel was not easy to find bit totally worth of searching. It has a great atmosphere and especially the hostel owner Will was a pleasure to meet. The pub under the hostel was a typical english one and we enjoyed the nice and familiar feeling in there. We will definitely come back someday!

They didn't have my booking when I arrived, that's a little frustrating when you arrive at 10.30pm and are tired from traveling. Other than that, the lady and her daughter are awesome hosts.

great atmosphere, friendly staff, beds were very comfortable. bathroom clean with good hot water, well equipped kitchen, private rooms are really good value. decent free breakfast available all day. very fast/reliable wifi. not sure why that other reviewer was complain about spiders - i didn't see any. bit of a distance from the city centre, but the buses and trains run really regularly so as long as you don't mind a 30 min bus ride into town it's perfect! in a really nice area for walking too.

This is great place where you can feel the great English atmosphere of Northern UK. Staff and owner "William" were great and very very helpful. It was clean and quiet. Only it's a little bit far from Manchester, but there are buses and trains. There is a bar underneath the hotel where you can get a pint and have some fun. I believe soon I will visit that place again.

Quaint little old pub with character. Road busy but rooms relativley quiet. Staff friendly and helpful. KFor those looking for a classic English pub stay with access to wifi and a kitchen this is a good place. Kearsley Rail station close and not far out of Manchester but trains only once an hour so more reliable to walk towards Farnwprth past station and catch #8 bus to Manchester.
