Hmm, didn't say on the website they are not actually located in Manchester really at all, but in Kearsley. If you haven't got a car, isn't very easy to get to. I wasn't impressed at having to pay £20 for a taxi then into Manchester centre next morning: I might as well have payed a bit more, and stayed in Manchester city centre itself. Don't know if this was the Grapes fault at all. But beware, the address can look like it's slap bang in the middle of Manchester city centre. Beware: it's not!

Other than the hostel being a 20 min car ride away from the center of Manchester, our stay was really pleasant. They had really nice beds and the linen was hotel quality. The location is pretty cool too, it's located above a pub with very reasonable prices (we haven't tried the food, got in too late every night), there's a store down the block and a fast food place that's open until 12AM.

Excelente atención por parte del dueño. Es totalmente recomendable, lastima que se encuentra alejado del centro de Manchester.

It is NOT located in Manchester. I was lost in Manchester and called them and they picked me up! That was extremely generous. They are kind and friendly. I just wish they had a better location.

Basic, friendly & good value. All we wanted was a place to put our heads after a night out in Manchester & that's what we got. The landlord of The Grapes is a very likable character for whom nothing was too much trouble.

the location was easy to find and it wasnt too far from were we had to go ( manchester united football ground ) the room we had was excellent although we did have a problem with the water ...but we just used the bathroom downstairs...we had full use of the living room and kitchen... the hosts were freindly and helpful and it was really cheap £15 per person per night..i would definatly book this place again whenever i get back to manchester

It was described as a centralised location but it was well out of our way. I paid a deposit for there but just ended up finding somewhere else on arrival!

Will the owner was very friendly and helpful. It was about 20mins bus from Manchester - the only downside, but a great place to stay.

Atmosphere in The Grapes is excellent. The owner and staff in the pub are very nice and helpful. Rooms and bathroom are clean. You can help yourself with tea and coffe and musli and tosts with nutella (or jam) which we found really lovely. Neighbourhood is nice and friendly too, but public transport is inconvenient (trains are rarely). Anyway we really enjoyed our stay there.

I was working in Salford and needed a place to stop for two nights. It was near to where I needed to be and basic but I didn't need anymore than a bed really.
