great place if want an amazing "sunrise at the great wall" experience. Definatly recommend it! awesome and helpful staff, had a great time!

This was a great place to stay, the dorm was small but as there was only me staying there, plenty of room. The staff were lovely and helpful and always ready to chat or offer food. It was a shame that it was so quiet - I was the only guest - as I imagine with a few more guests around it would have a great atmosphere in the comfy courtyard common area.

This was by far the best hostel I have ever been and I\'ve been to quite a few. The entire staff was extremely helpful, informative, and friendly. The atmosphere was AMAZING! Truly an experience. The place is meant for all types of travelers and all ages. The only, and i mean only, thing that was not perfect was the location. Because it is right next to the Badaling Great Wall it is also pretty far from Central Beijing. So plan accordingly. Nonetheless, best place ever. Come & c for urself

The staff were very helpful and accommodating! They were so helpful. The location is great, within walking distance of the Great Wall. The beds were comfortable, and the common area is comfortable with a lot of character. We spent only a short time there, but if I go back to Badaling, I'd stay here again, and hopefully for more nights!

Wow, what a night we had at The Great Wall! Not only warmly welcomed, but invited to what can only be described as a family banquet, and given more free beer and wine than we could handle, which lead to Karaoke into the small hours. The hostel was amazing, but what really makes it is the staff. Have never felt so welcome at a hostel anywhere in the world! Thanks guys!

This was by far the friendliest hostel that we stayed at during our tour throughout China. We stayed here over the Chinese New Year and were invited to share a delicious family dinner with the owner's family in the main room. We were also treated to complimentary treats in the common area which more than made up for the comparatively high price of the hostel. The hostel is also walking distance to Badaling Great Wall, which we hiked on New Year's Day. Altogether a very positive experience.

The communal area, where everything except your room is located, was only 9 degrees. (I was so cold I couldn't stay there and had to sit on my bed. ) The dormitory is cramped and the food bland. On the up side the shower was warm and clean and the people friendly.

Food was very good and everyone was friendly. Rooms and common area were clean. Good location that was near the city and Great Wall.
