Really beautiful, unique hostel set in a chic mansion in the hills over San Antonio. Probably our favorite in all of South America! The rooms are spacious and the beds are so comfortable! Lots of character throughout the whole place. It is really a steal for what you are getting. The food is also fantastic at the restaurant. If you are there over the weekend you should definitely go for the paella lunch on Sunday. The owner and staff are awesome. Can't say enough nice things about this place!

The hostel has good facilities but the problem is the location, is too far from zona rosa and when i was there, only 2 guys were in there, no good atmosphere, I changed the next day to other hostel

I really enjoyed my stay here. First of all I found the place had a really nice atmosphere, with staff who went out of their way to help me if I had a question. Also the house really is a mansion, definitely worth staying here if you want a different experience. Oh, and Its a short walk to San Antonio, which was really nice to hang out in on Saturday and Sunday night

Excellent place, booked for just a couple of nights but I´m extending my stay to be here over the weekend! The house is incredible with a lovely swimming pool. It´s just a few minutes walk from San Antonio which was a nice area to chill out in the evening with a view over Cali. Hostel is also next to zoo. Friendly owner, really nice bar/kitchen staff and the atmosphere in the bar at night is great as it is open to "Caleños" as well. Really different from the usual hostel. Recommended!

Character : none security : no lockers in dorms, pain in the ass to get buzzed in and out as staff are hard to find. Atmosphere : if you like hostel owners who drink more than the guests and are drunk at 8am you'll like this place Cleanliness : good, but get shower fixed Value : 3000 COP beer? Facilities : who cares if you have a pool if the water is murky and opaque, a sauna if it doesn't work, offer dinner but not until after 8:30 pm? And one bathroom for 16 people in dorms? WTF

We understand that the Green Saman has only been open for 8 months. Perhaps that is why there were some teething problems with our premier room like leaking shower, poor lighting & no aircon. that said the bed was great! However, the owner Joseph more than makes up for this with his enthusiasm and passion for his property & his guests. Oh and he can cook - delicious food always available. Good fun, great atmosphere, different experience that we really enjoyed.

The Green Saman is an excellent Hostel. Fraser (manager) and Joseph (chef) were very hospitable. Joseph is a skilled chef. All meals were prepared fresh and tasted great. One evening we had a 5 course dinner which was outstanding. The rooms were priced at a good value. This hostel has a great relaxing atmosphere in a nice part of Cali.

Amazing Colombian mansion in a nice area not far from San Antonio, Great pool but no where to sun bathe, dorm room is clean, spacious and beds are extreamly comfy. The staff at hostel werent all that helpful and the atmoshere wasnt great for the days i spent there. This place could do better and be an amazing hostel, i think it needs to decide to be high end or backpackers place 5,000 for a beer is steep!

By far the best Hostel we´ve been to in South America (30). It is a city mansion turned into a hostel! Thee pool and Sauna are awesome, especially in the evenings when the sun goes down. The dorm beds are huge and comfortable, theres space for the stuff and backpacks and the bathrooms are better than what you have at home! The cook, Josep is super, make shure you get a cooking class with him! We made the best Seafood-Paella ever! I would go back to Cali just to stay at this hostel!

This is an amazing place and has lots of potential there are quite a few things that needs to be sorted out to meet that potential. Firstly it's bloody hard to find. Don't rely on the address you need all the directions. Secondly there is only one shower between the 16 people in the dorm rooms. And finally there's just a few other things which can make life difficult, like bad Internet, them not answering the phone and nowhere to sunbathe by the pool. But generally it's a unique place and fun

the owner Josep is a great guy. We really liked the athomesphere in the place, feels like a big house. The swimming pool, garden is beautifull and if you can take the big private room, you will love it. biggest i ever been in. only disadvantage is the distance from centre, but probably in other hostels you would need to take a taxi eitherway so not that big of a problem. defenitely can recommend this place.
