Beds are a disgrace. I almost injured myself as the middle of the beds caved in several times. Unsafe, unsecure metal planks that are bent? Pathetic.

I felt I didn't get value for money. I especially hated having three beds in my room. I also hated not having internet at the guest house.

I stayed in this hostel at first and switched to Backpacker Oz later cos' wifi is only available in Backpacker Oz & it'd be more convenient to stay there directly. I actually like the Guest house better, although it is sometimes too quiet to look like a hostel, but it is cleaner and the kitchen would not be closed in late evening. The lock of the room I stayed cannot be locked properly sometimes though. Overall it is a good hostel as you can tell from the details such as the no. of sockets.

Excellent, friendly, efficient staff. Neat and simple, but I felt safe and comfortable. They accommodated my request to not be on the ground floor without fuss. They need to buy some new pillows though!

Loved the private room and thought it was great value. Staff were excellent and even gave me a refund for incorrectly charging me extra - very apologetic about their mistake and I appreciate that. Reception staff asked me about myself and paid an interest in my pursuits and reason for my stay. Instructions given for accessing and using Guest House were clear and easy to follow. They also let me check out early the night before and trusted me to leave the key, which I also appreciate.

On the website the Guest House said they had free Wifi which is why I booked there. However it's only available at Oz Backpackers down the road, fairly disappointing. Everything seemed a bit grimy and in need of painting...
