Fine place, three recommendations: 1) hooks on the dorm room walls to hang stuff (less clutter on the floor), 2) lower prices in restaurant and/or allow common kitchen use and outside food, 3) yeah, that music is pretty obnoxious!

Great, friendly staff and nice social vibe. Only downside: horrible, loud, rap/hip-hop music that no one asked to hear (anything wrong with silence? Isn't it better to wait for someone to request music than to wait for someone to ask to turn it down?).

Nice place to stay if you are traveling solo . The only bad thing ( no lockers for the backpack ) and the door is always open .

decent enough for backpackers. beds creak and our bathroom was clogged up. cheap drinks but the food isn't great.

Definitely come back here again

Fun place! But room not ao good ...Pink Panther had no chairs or anyplace to sit, mirror not hung up on wall and near impossible to use, not one single wall hook ANYwhere, so quite inconvenient overall. Nonetheless the casual atmosphere and most friendly staff and guests would lead me to stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Happy Mango Tree. It's really cute, nice common area and good location.

I like the entire atmosphere of the place: colorful and happy. The common area was comfortable with fluffy pillows and oldies music (think Elvis Presley, Paul Anka, etc.). The food wasn't that bad either. The room I stayed in had a balcony which was a really nice touch. The location is also good, around 3-minutes off the main road and it would take around 8 minutes to Ubud Palace, Ubud Market, etc. However, I wasn't sure if the hot shower worked but overall it was a pleasant stay.

Very nice and quiet place with rice-field-surroundings, a bit off street but still very central. Good hang-out area. Staff very helpful with everything.

It was overall a decent experience. Check in was easy and the bar/ restaurant was reasonable. Nothing stood out as exceptional though. It would be nice to have mirror by the sink to make it easy to shave in, but on the flip side the showers and toilets were nice and clean with hot water.

The atmosphere at this hostel is really nice. Cool chill out area and bar and nice shower and bathroom facilities in kind of a forest outdoor style design. But the beds were really really soft and I thought not really comfortable. Every time I would climb up to my upper bunk o thought the whole construction would fall over.. And it was super warm at night because there's only a fan and no air con. It's okay for the money but don't expect too much from the rooms.

Very friendly staff and very clean room. My stay was great.

Not very clean, staff were more interests in chatting to each other than helping guests.

Very basic but has everything you need, warm shower and a bed. There are no locks on the dorm door but you can rent a locker if you so choose.

Great hostel on a quiet road in the center of Ubud, very nice ambiance and the staff is very friendly.

This is a really cool hostel to stay at in Ubud - they offer lots of help with booking trips, the food is good and the staff are nice.

It's a nice hostel that will do the job. It's clean though the pillow cases were damp. The bamboo bunks were as everyone has said very noisy and felt unstable. The room fan was noisy and inadequate, the room we were in opposite the reception leaks when it rains so make sure to leave nothing on the floor as a large puddle formed, he food was overly salty and poor for the price. It's ok and will do for a few nights but not the best Ive been in.

Staff was OK. Shower was broken in the room. Choose another one if you just wanna good sleep after a tiring day.

This was my first night in a hostel ever, had a great experience! Very easy to meet people and a very social atmosphere. There are small lockers to put valuables in but they're not big enough for a backpack, I felt like my stuff was safe here anyway though.
