Lovely hostel full of friendly staff and smiley travellers. Walking distance to everywhere. Didn't have to use metro or a bus once! Would recommend for solo travellers like myself any day as this hostel does group pubcrawls at night. The local shop is located right across the road for small bits and bobs. Very happy traveller. Hasta Pronto! Diana

The Hat is a fab hostel. Really cool decor, comfy beds and so so close to all of the main sights. Breakfast is really tasty and a bargain at €2.50. The staff are lovely - printed my boarding passes and tickets with no hassle! Literally the only thing that could improve is putting hand soap in the loos but not a major issue!

The Hat was fantastic. Great relaxed atmosphere, awesome interior spaces and the roof top bar was very cool. Would recommend to everyone.

The staff here were very helpful. My Spanish is intermediate and as soon as they heard I spoke a little Spanish, they encouraged me to have our conversations in Spanish- loved it. The facilities were fantastic, easy to do laundry, eat breakfast there, and the rooftop bar was a high light!

Kind staff, comfortable bed, clean bathrooms, very good and cheap breakfast (2,50 euros at April/2016), great location, it takes only 15 min walking to the Prado Museum. Highly recommended : )

Awesome hostel! Staff was so friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Super clean, comfortable, and cool decor throughout the place. The rooftop bar is really nice and the food is really good but a bit pricey. The breakfast was great (2.5 euro) as was the airport shuttle (12 euro). Great location close to plaza mayor. Not really a kitchen if you want to cook your own food, but they have some appliances to do so. Overall would hands down recommend this place!

Overall great hostel. Comfortable and private beds, blocked from the view of others in the room. The whole place was very trendy, but despite the rooftop terrace, not a very open environment to make friends

The hat madrid is one of the best hostel I have ever been. It locates right next to Madrid's attractions and just minutes walk from the metro station. The room was clean and the interior was awesome. The hostel provides information for tourists with considerate details in their handmade leaflet and the fact that they are providing breakfast and having a bar with very cheap price made it even more perfect. This place is highly recommended.
