We really enjoyed our stay here, the staff were friendly and the set up is lovely. The hostel is in an apartment block and they've decorated it really well. They had a decent (if not overly exciting) breakfast and a fairly good kitchen for guest use. The rooms were pretty spacious and beds were comfortable. The showers (while themselves cubicles) had communal dressing spaces but there was a female only bathroom so no problems there. Overall we had a really great time, good location, good hostel.

My room was bright and big with friendly people to share. The common areas are also big, clean and cozy. I really recomend this hostel because is by far the cleanest I ever stay, also the location is very good, you don't need to take any public metro or bus because you can walk to all the main points in the city to visit. The only thing I didn't like is the hostel ask for 2€ for the key but in the check out they give you back the money.

I really nice atmosphere, with helpful and kind receptionist whom helped us with touristic information and everything we needed.. A reasonable breakfast and good wi-fi, shower and bedroom. Close to the Catalunya Square where is the mainly meeting point and from where the buses to the El Prat airport depart.

This was an amazing hostel!!! we stayed for almost two weeks and did not want to leave. Everyone else we met at the hostel had nothing but praise for the place. The staff were amazing and the hostel was beautifully clean. We will definitely be back!!

The Hipstel had really great facilities and is located in one of the nicer, safer districts of Barcelona. BUT a few complaints: In order to use a locker, you either had to bring your own lock or purchase (not rent) one for 5 euro. If you're going to have lockers, you may as well provide locks free of charge to your guests. Also, quiet hours were never enforced. Even the staff continued to play music at the regular volume well after the designated quiet hour (11 pm).

Awesome chilled hostel in a great location and a great atmosphere to meet people and chat. Just needs more power outlets...and an oven.

I spent three nights at The Hipstel and really enjoyed my time there. The place is super clean and conveniently located. The staff were amazing, remembering me by name, answering all my questions, giving advice, and even helping me !plan the rest of my trip. Breakfast was also included, which was much appreciated. Overall, The Hipstel provides a social atmosphere and is a great value for the price!

The Hipstel is, by far, my favorite hostel that I've ever stayed in. Met the most amazing people there and their staff is full of hilarious, warm individuals. Would go back to Barcelona just so I could stay there again.

The fruit for breakfast looked too old and disgusting, specially bananas, however they kept on serving it every day, as it was expected, no one eat that. Check out time at 10:00 am, are you serious? It is by far the earliest check out I've ever seen. In the other hand, they have the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in a hostel!

The breakfast lacked protein. The rooms can be quite noisy as the halls echo. The doors on the largest rooms are double doors and very loud when opening and closing.

Such a good experience at The Hipstel. Stayed two nights with 3 other friends and it was the perfect location for getting around Barcelona. The front desk was so helpful and always extremely friend. The hostel is quiet, even if the street noise isn't.

I love the Hipstel, and I stayed there for 13 nights. Yes, it was unbelievably long, almost like renting an apartment room. The location of the Hipstel is just great for people who likes shopping and Gaudi. I personally enjoy Gaudi, so it was perfect for me that I can reach his masterpieces within a very short time. The Hipstel kitchen and bathrooms were pretty clean during my stay. And the staff were very kind and friendly. I would definately recommend the Hipstel.
