I liked the location and the and the atmosphere of the hostel a lot. I thought the staff were very helpful. and the beds were quite cozy. It was a convenient place for all kinds of people. Whether you are a party animal or a book worm, everyone would enjoy their time here. I would definitely stay here again

My door card stopped working half way through my stay!behich meant if I went to toilet in middle of night I couldn't get back in the room.... The wifi is Terrible! Yes they have it all over, but it's slow to connect, you constantly get knocked off line and when you are online it goes at a snails pace! Area around the hostel is full of "spas" or "clubs" so be warned! Good restraints close by in day and feet convo burnt for travel

The toilets were very smelly and there were cockroaches in them.

Very nice staff and good value for money, however the staff is not always there, leaving the luggage behind the counter unattended.

I found the little animals such as cockroach and mice that came into room in the morning. But overall the service was good.

The atmosphere is catchy, if I want the same price in the future, this is the place I'd go! Did forgot to write on the blackboard walls, though.

Staff was incredibly helpful. FREE LAUNDRY!!!! Atmosphere was a little to be desired compared to other hostels, but also not the worst. Rooms were adequate. Security was pretty good, as you needed a key card to get into the hostel as well as your room. I would stay here again.

No reading lights in the room but a locker for everyone, you can rent a locker at the reception for a SG$2 deposit. No window in the dorm, just a hole of the soze of two hands. There was a cockroach on the floor in the morning but the staff immediately sprayed some bug spray. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom. The breakfast consists of cornflakes and toast only but it is enough for the start of the day at least. There is a 7Eleven at 5 mins walking distance and the MRT in 5-7 minutes.

Hi Hostelworld.com Team, I arrived at The Hive as planned on 8 Jan. 2015, but stayed an extra day, leaving on Fri 10 Jan.2015. I stayed in the Mimosa room on the ground floor in a bottom bunk. This was ideal for my requirements being 69 years old and mobility challenged. The young lady on reception, Huiqing was very helpful and an excellent ambassador for Singapore. In future visits to Singapore this would be an ideal place for me to stay. Kind Regards, PJ Loughman.

Good hostel. Good value for money. Staff was great. The hostel has a lot of common space enough for the parties and for the lone web browsing. Small lesson: It's better not to forget about security still, even despite being is super safe Singapore. Smb took the charger of one guy in the common room while he wasn't looking. It can happen in any hostel and in any part of the world. Need to be careful about own stuff.

The staff were very nice and the people there were pretty good. The only issue I really had would be some guests seemed to be lacking etiquette when staying in a hostel. Up late at night rummaging through lockers and bags or turning on the light and leaving it on while others are trying to sleep. The free breakfast was nice but the wifi was patchy at times and a bit frustrating. The computers running on android were a bit ridiculous too. Overall a great place to stay if cash is tight.
