Great value - if only it was more central!

Not a typical hosteler so I booked my own room.Slighlty disapointed that the toilet was not close by and the bed was uncomfortable as well as there being the occasional internet connection problems. Despite this staff were very freindly and knowlegeble, the kitchen area was large as was the the common room which was very cosy. Also close to MRT. I did check out ABC hostel and though I got the better deal with the Hive

The staff is very helpful. We enjoyed our stay here and had no issues apart from a squeaky bed.

Everything is ok but there're a few drawbacks. Bedroom is clean and roomy but the bed that is upper is so horrible when you turn your body - -" and there're also have the noise. Because the bed in downside and the upper side didn't joint together so the uppper bed is for the one who have less weight. Toilet and bathroom didn't perfect, i give them 50 points. Lastly, all staffs are nice to all guests :)

Had a good stay here. Nice, bright room with air con (all day btw). Location is bit out of the centre, but only 300m from Koon Beng MRT. Nice people running the place. Breakfast was toast+jam and cereals, nothing special. 4 internetcomputers available, but some problems with the connection/equipment. But definitely a decent stay and affordable for Singapore prices.

Hive is actually big, lots of rooms and offer sufficient breakfast, milk, cereal, toast and tea. Staff is friendly. Commune and location, however, are not as good as we thought.

The Hive is strategically located, the room was clean and the staff is (most of the times) helpful. The room we had, the most expensive one, was, however, very noisy and smelly. Noise isolating windows would have been nice. Furthermore, there are too few bathrooms for the private rooms, only two for about 16-20 people. One of the toilets was broken during our entire stay. Overall. it is an OK place, but not good value for money.

Excellent, friendly staff, with nicely decorated rooms. Very clean which was much appreciated. We booked a private room which came with air con and that was great, however there were only thin shutters over our windows which didn\'t shield the bright sunlight coming in at all. Avoid the Sakura room if you need peace and quiet but nothing a pair of earplugs can\'t fix. Great, simple breakfast and the shared bathrooms were clean and functioning, except for the toilet which sometimes wouldn\'t flus...More
