No map of the city, it´s a shame because the orthers guesthouses give it. Wifi is not very good.
My favorite hostel in China so far! Rooftop terrace and common areas superb, music eclectic and always just right, staff is awesome, great laundry facilities, super clean rooms, electric blanket in the double rooms- but mostly a wonderful atmosphere . Our 2nd stay here -felt like we were coming home☺
Good hostel with lively bar, including pool table. Nice free beer on arrival. Dorms are very spacious and secure electric lockers. Staff were helpful. Food was decent. Showers could be improved slightly (bit grubby), but otherwise a great hostel.
Pros: Very, very friendly and helpful stuff, good food and a superb roof terrace. Brilliant place to hang around. Cons: Sometimes terrible/loud dance music in the evenings. Makes it almost impossible to have a conversation, super slow, almost useless Wifi.
Bathrooms could be much better, a small kitchen would be nice.
We loved this hostel ! Super clean, electric blankets, washing machines , great drying areaand the best terrace bar restaurant ! Staff was wonderful . I don't know if it was just the room we were in but we had no issue with noise -it was very quiet .
Only complaint is I wish beds were assigned. I slept on bottom bunk one night, locked up all my stuff during the day, leaving some shoes and socks in front of the bed indicating it was taken. Came back and someone was in my bed and had taken my socks and kicked my shoes out of the way.
Very nice location. First time i found this but not on my booking date, i ask staff how to get to the train station. They give me good information.
It rained the whole time but the hostel was a great place to hang out and wait for the weather.
Decent hostel with bar and good staff. WiFi can be a bit hit and miss at times
Overall a pretty good hostel. Food is expensive so I never actually ate there, but seems to be standard through hostels in China. Staff were really friendly. Beds were comfortable and lockers were really good. Room was really noisy the first morning but I realised that was because some idiot a couple of beds up left the window open. Fine the next morning. Nice rooftop. Great location.

Staff very friendly good location
Great hostel in the right area of kunming, great staff to help with anything you need. However as previously mentioned the wifi could do with being a bit better. Atmosphere was also a little lacking during my visit, but I think that's more to do with other guests rather than the hostel itself.
Good basic hostel rooms in excellent location with a great hangout area and bar. Some people seemed to have complained about the noise, but we had a twin room (no windows), which was pretty dark and quiet. The showers and toilets are mixed and pretty basic but water was nice and hot :)
I love the hump! Such a cool hostel! we came back here few times during the trip and always liked it, the price is very good for what you're getting. The food is really good and not pricey at all for hostels food. It's very central and you can get anywhere from this superb location, including nightlife and food night market. Staff are nice and the atmosphere is cool, you can meet some people there, chill on the balcony and have a beer. the only down are the washrooms, kind of dirty and small.
Great place to stay and one gentleman at the front desk was very helpful with directions and transportation information! Very near the night market and nice place to chill
Enjoyed my stay very much !

Great location, quite clean except for the toilet (showers and sinks are pretty ok), confortable bed, staff always helpful and polite, they can give you a lot of information about transports and places, but if you want to see them laugh you have to try hard. The WiFi doesn't work with VPN and, at least on my devices, sometimes didn't work at all.
I hope the boss will improve the wifi...would be more perfect
Ye canny whack this hostel. Bathroom needs a serious renov; most other things fall into place. If you're just yer average travelling laidback dude, shoot one shark play of pool in five, you'll enjoy. Really good well priced meals, comfy enough dorms, friendly folks all round. Kunming's not the prettiest, yet walk out on 3rd floor patio balcony, listen to Ella Funny Valentine and you will do more than survive, my friends. Seriously interesting history photoed on the walls.
