Not only the place but the staff/owners made u feel right at home. Short walk to bus stop n not too far from downtown. Nice area around hostel to explore also, great track nearby. Plenty of space in dorm room, big clean kitchen n comfy lounge area. A great place to stay.

It's really hard to write a review on this website btw... Location is great being by Broad Ripple and a stone's throw from Monon trail. The staff was helpful and friendly. The other guests were respectful and curteous. The house was cozy and well kept. Overall, a great price for the quality.

Very cosy and beautiful hostel with a great atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff! Bus to downtown needs about 30min, but it's no big deal for us. We really enjoyed our stay in the Indy Hostel! :-)

Could use lockers in rooms and or bigger lockers. Private rooms a lock on the door would be nice. I liked the punch key code for the doors vr keys. Staff very nice.

FAR FROM EVERYTHING. The staff is very kind, the house cute and clean. But these are the only good points. There are no lock on the doors, impossible to close them. Twice somebody entered in my room by mistake during the night, not very pleasant. It is not far from the bus stop, but there are just 2 per hour, and it takes 30 mn to go to the center of the city. If you have a car you might appreciate this place, but without, it is hard to find a correct place to eat or to go to the museums.

Great 5-day stay. Be sure to get a #17 bus schedule for the 20-minute ride into town, and find out where the pickup and dropoff stops are. Food is quite a distance away. The Childrens' Museum on 30th St. is one of the best museums in the world!

My party of 3 thought the Indy Hostile was great, much better than staying @ some bad hotel or over priced hotel. It had everything we needed & a great location. Thank you John!

There was gum stuck to my pillow...luckily I had brought a my own as well. I only stayed one night, totaling less than 12 hours, but it was a very cute alternative to an over priced hotel. I do wish there were locks on the doors or some sort of secure lock up for my belongings. While it was not a problem for me at all I could see it becoming one.

Could use more storage space for food for short term stays especially for non-refridgerated foods. Very hospitable and homelike atmosphere of friendly, helpful, low-key staff. Has nice ammenities such as internet access and a comfy TV room. Decks and outdoor space lovely in the warmer months.
