Do not book here. Booked airport pickup and they were no shows, then when we arrived, they made us wait for an hour, after which they insisted on taking us to their "other hotel" in some strange car. When we refused the owner started yelling at us. Very unprofessional, very unpleasant experience. The one surprising thing was he reimbursed our taxi fare from the airport. Wouldn't touch this place again.

The Ivory Hostel is clean, tidy and boring. The beds were fine, the bathrooms fine (even had hot water!!!), but there is no real opportunity to meet other travellers. Free breakfast was good, if you are brave enough to eat from the rooftop kitchen!!!

My only regret about Hotel Ivory was that I did not find it earlier. This is a stunning hotel that is difficult to fault. The design and attention to detail is only normally found in the most expensive hotels and yet you can stay in absolute comfort for a fraction of the cost. The rooms are modern and spotlessly clean and clearly, whoever did the interior design, had a very good idea as to what visitors want. The beds are the softest that I have found in India.

I had an enjoyable stay at Hostel Ivory staff was very welcoming and attentive to my needs. They were experienced in dealing with foreign travelers. This alone made my trip to India a lot less stressful and anxious than it could have been. The room I stayed in met my needs perfectly. The bed and linens were quite comfortable and the room was well air-conditioned, so I was able to sleep comfortably each night. The manager Arun was great in his work always helpful in any thing .GO AND BOOK IT NOW.

I stayed at the Ivory Palace for 2 nights , after learning about it on Trip Advisor. Booking on line was very easy, emails were answered promptly. Airport pick up was made on time. My room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is well situated and an easy walk to most sites in Delhi. Hotel staff were without exception friendly and helpful. Meals were basic and tasty. The manager Arun was too friendly ,NICE PLACE TO STAY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED JUST GO AND BOOK IT ,GREAT WORK KEEP IT UP

I booked an double room for my first night in Delhi and I had a very comfortable stay. I was travelling as a single female on my own and I was well looked after. I spent both evenings chatting to the hotel managers who invited me to join them for dinner and wouldn't take no for an answer! I would definitely stay here again. The location is great (5 mins walk from metro station and 10 minutes walk in the other direction to Karol Bagh market - fantastic shopping area).

I was worried that this hotel wouldn't be all it was put up to be. I can't even begin to tell you how many trips I've taken where I've gone to a hotel based on reviews and found it to be an awful experience. Ivory broke the pattern. It was an incredible stay. The staff Arun wasn't just helpful but always friendly and always smiling. It was like I was an honored guest! My fiance and I were blown away by the excellent service, the beautiful furnishings and most of all the cleanliness.

This was the worst hostel I've ever been. There was no hot water (it was 8 degrees - Celcius), the room was dirty (I found a man`s hair on the sheets) and there was a raven's nest right outside our window. We couldn't sleep the whole night. Staff was not friendly and ordered a taxi that took us to a travel agency and we didn't order that. I really do not recommend that place!

I call earlier in the day ~3pm to confirm my room has not been given away, I was running late. I confirm my room is there, I arrive at 9pm to be told there's no room available, and I must stay in the owners "other" hotel. It was 3-4 doors down, and a total dump. Filthy sheets, dirty floors, disgusting shower, open air to outside through fan/AC. Owner double booked the room, and didn't make it right. I had to roam around an unfamiliar place to try to find new accommodations. Do not trust.

Please avoid this place at all costs. Booked well in advance but stayed in awful room in a different hotel (woken up by banging all night) - no explanation or apology from the owner. We agreed that I wouldn't need to pay for that night however, on checking out the manager completely denied this agreement. He got angry, shouting, threatened to fight me and said the police were on their way. Had to pay to leave as he blocked the doorway. Horrible person. They cannot treat people like this, avoid!!

Really nice hotel and rooms. Well located near metro and markets. Staff not helpfull at all. Just don't care about us. Fix the taxi for the airport and confirm 4 times but just before departure, they wanted more.

Location is good, in the backpackers ghetto. The room smelled moldy and was very damp. The staff seemed to think walking in and out of our room was normal. You can get a better price walking in than online, and of course they try and get you to go to their affiliated 'tourist information' place to buy overpriced train tickets and spend 10 times what you would otherwise, but everywhere you stay will try that. No serious complaints about this place, but nothing good to say either. Wifi works fine.

Arrived at night after making booking online through hostelworld. I was then redirected to "our other hotel" down the street due to Ivory being full that night. The other hotel was quite a dump and had stained sheets, there was also a drunk local in the lobby of Ivory hassling guests as I returned later to use their wifi in the lobby. I wouldn't trust this place again in Delhi.

We did'nt feel welcome. We were supposed to be picked up, but did'nt meet our driver so had to get to the hostel by ourselves and when we arrived he claimed it was our fault. The rooms were not clean. The food was served on the top of the bulding that was also used for garbage containers, and we had to wait over an hour to get cold food. One of the windows did'nt have glass so we fixed it our selves to avoid all the bugs and noise. Would'nt recomend anyone to stay here. Free internet though!

Among the hustle bustle and chaos of New Delhi, this hotel is a little paradise. Quiet comfortable and trendy hotel, very clean, polite staff, mouth watering breakfast, it has lots of restaurants and places of tourist attraction nearby. Metro station is just 2 mins walk. I would say "LOOK NO FURTHER" just stay here.

Easily best hostel for your money in the whole area. I don't think there is any other hostel in the vicinity that has rooms that are as nice at the rate they charge. Arun was too helpful in all areas .The room service food is amazing, and also extremely cheap... Staff is very nice and accommodating.

I arrived at Ivory palace, exhausted after an intense travel schedule and it was the perfect place to rest, eat and relax. Immediately when arrived I was greeted by the warm and welcoming staff who ensured all my needs were taken care of. In particular Arun was very accomodating to all my requests and was always quick to offer any assistance I needed throughout my night stay. This small luxury hotel has a beautiful clean and modern decor ,the beds are big and comfortable.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

If they promise a airport pick up please make sure these arrangements are guaranteed I was left at the airport at 2.30am. This is good budget accommodation.
