Loud on Weekend, because of the bar downstairs Free dinner is awesome, better than free breakfast. :D

Clean bathrooms, clean rooms, free dinner that was actually pretty good! I was so happy with this hostel. The staff were helpful, the facilities were obviously cleaned daily, the location was great as it is just around the corner from Gilligan's. And FREE DINNER! All for an extremely reasonable price. I wouldn't have stayed anywhere else!

Stayed in a 4 dorm room which had air con and a fan. Unfortunately the wifi wasn't working during my stay which was a shame but they have computers at reception you can use for 20mins or so! Kitch was a bit odd, outside and no stove, just a bbq thing! Bar right next door so when there is live music you won't get to sleep for a while! Hostel was clean and i liked the fact there was a fridge and table and chairs in the room. Clayton on the desk was very helpful and friendly :)

Definitely recommend staying at the jack,great free evening meals every night(very tasty) v.i.p At the bar which gives you $8 jugs of beer and other great discounts. Bar staff are also great and so friendly,really clean well kept rooms are new bathroom, staff are great very helpful they helped me book greAt tours around cairns would stay here again!!

I had the best stay at The Union Jack, the staff were helpful and very friendly, the rooms were great to stay in the beds were really comfortable, the location was perfect everything is in walking distance which was very handy :)
