This was an okay hostel. My room faced the street in front of a square where people played music at night, so it was kind of noisy when I was trying to sleep. The room itself, a double, was fine, and having use of the kitchen was nice since the hostel does not offer breakfast. I was also glad that the hostel was not located in the Old City because that probably makes it safer. Overall a good hostel for a reasonable price considering that Jerusalem is as a rule an expensive city for tourists.This was an okay hostel. The hotel must have very good character but it needs repairs. The carpet needs to be changed. We had a balcony and it was very nice but we had seen nobody to give us an extra sheet or towel and we had to ask to have a sheet, one night it was very cold in the room and many dirty marks on the carpet and I got some flees. Also the breakfast is not up standard and we had to take it outside, bad coffee, 2 biscuit and one fruit. At the moment there is road work done on Jaffa Road for the new tram which can be quite noisy. I missed pegs for the towels in the bathroom... great location and mostly clean. The dorm rooms are very cramped, it is better to sleep in the rooftop sheds for a little more. Security is the issue here, no lockers , no locks in the doors, no 24 hr staff so random people sneaked in the middle of the night even using the internet downstairs. Got food stolen from the fridge 3 nights in a row even though I labeled it and hid it. Some staff good some very unfriendly.great location and mostly clean. The private doubles are good value for the central location and comfy rooms. Some people in the staff are great, but there are some grumpy creatures around.
