staff not clear about the pricing of the room, first charging us a lower price and then changing it higher with minimal effort to explain why. Discrepancy in price on hostelworld website ($20 without breakfast) but at the hostel it is $20 with breakfast. we paid $20 and got no breakfast. also, we paid the 10% down and decided to leave a night early and we were charged some mystery fee of $4. On the whole, the hostel was in a beautiful location but other hostels on the island offer more for less

Owner and staff were helpful and booked tours and made needed reservations.

When we arrived at the hotel, they didnt have our reservation. There was only cold water. Didnt service the room and was there for 3 nights. The worst was the crazy bipolar receptionist (not the owner as the owner was away and Im sure much nicer than this woman) who stalked guests movements and made us feel very uncomfortabe. She also frequently shouted at guests when they didnt understand Spanish. She also treated the hostel as if it was her own residence and was noisy all throughout the night.
